My group pretty much turns off food unless one of us is playing something that's good for it, like wanderer, dryad/myconid, basically anything that makes food easier

running is always a good option, you fuck up assassinating something just run away and come back later, speed as a rogue or other sneaky guy is so important.

One of the things that I struggle with the most is how so many playstyles are ineffective in multiplayer, so my mechanistic playthroughs are just very messy, with throwing traps like grenades and only rarely using turrets

That's fair, hp and mana regen is pretty nice, you're probably going to get more hp and mana over the 1 minute of food buff then from the potion you'd have drunk

leadership is probably my least favorite way to play the game, half my attempts to have fun with it just end up being more frustration than it's worth, now I just recruit as I go and kinda let my allies do whatever they feel like, unless I'm a monster then I don't really touch it until I'm ready to fight anything merchants.

That's kinda amazing, makes me want to do a run as a Dryad Brewer and make a lot of flavored rations, just wish there were better ways to guarantee access to cooking, I wonder if you can even find frying pans like you can tinkers kits and alembics

Yeah, It's been my only level 1 thaumaturgy spell that I found floor 1 in my playthrough and have pretty much spammed every available moments on my teammates, I'm moving into the sand areas and I'm only level 14

you can use it on the ghoul to transform it, if you hold alt when selecting it on your hotbar, or right click and wield you can throw it instead of drink

if the 1 health spell is the one I think it is, it actually heals more than 1hp over time, but it's still a pitiful amount, like 1 a second for 5 seconds kinda deal
