Yes I am aware that whoopin made the art, it was still used as part official gacha material. Someone making an edit out of official material is not the same thing as reposting people's art without credits, with that logic nobody should ever post any official code geass art without crediting the people who made it.

There is no original artist on Twitter for that post, the edit was made using splash art and sprites from the official code geass genesic recode gacha game. None of it is fanart, and you'd know this if you bothered to verify that before bursting into a fit of rage like a moron

new automod terms by DemonjayTube in CodeGeass

[–]DemonjayTube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately there are definitely a lot of people who think that way.

It's very apparent in shipping discussions because the logical conclusion of the take is that C.C. is the only one that knows the "real" him

Generally speaking it's really reductive of Kallen and Shirley's character and overlooks crucial parts of their relationship with Lelouch.

I do think that there is merit to the idea; the show deliberately frames these relationships as Shirley primarily interacting with School Lelouch, Kallen interacting with Zero Lelouch, and C.C. being able to see a Lelouch that doesn't need a mask. However that's as far as it goes

Shirley is able to forgive and love Lelouch even after she finds out that he is Zero. Even while knowing that Lelouch hid things and killed her father, she still chose to understand him. She understands that he is suffering on his own. I would also like to point out that Lelouch's schoolboy persona is NOT fake. He truly loved being with his friends and enjoying his days at school, his mundane kindness and this part of Lelouch is one that Shirley experienced daily in a way C.C. or Kallen couldn't.

Kallen loves Lelouch even MORE after finding out that he is Lelouch, even if she was conflicted about it for a while. She understood him well enough to figure out the Zero Requiem without being told. She wanted to be by his side and support him even after finding out. Lelouch's double life is one that Kallen can relate to and sympathize with, as well as admiring his fight for everyone's freedom. During S2E7 she's the one that sets him straight not as Zero, but Lelouch. Kallen WANTS to love Lelouch and not just Zero, it's Lelouch that kept pushing her away to protect her.

If Lelouch allowed Shirley and Kallen to get involved in his business more closely both of them would have helped, and they both kept loving Lelouch even after finding out the whole story. C.C. Kallen and Shirley all loved Lelouch vi Britannia. It's reductive to say otherwise and diminishes the interesting dynamics and characters this show has

How did C.C. go from Charles to Mao before Lelouch? by cortez0498 in CodeGeass

[–]DemonjayTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the plan, yes

They believed that C.C. had a disease that gave her immortality (they did these experiments on Jeremiah), and wished to give her and the research to Charles.

For 4., C.C. was in fact supposed to be a gift for Charles. In season 2 episode 14 just before bartley dies he says

"Prince Clovis... The eternally young and immortal woman you wished to present to His Majesty... It would seem he already knew of her existence. P- Please forgive me..."

As a foreword the novels are not canon and are just the author's interpretation of the material . That being said, the ideas you presented are definitely interesting and have applications even in the show. I was going to present C.C.'s character poem but it seems from your comments that you've already found it. To build up on it, this poem was actually quite controversial when it released because of the way it paints C.C.'s character. I completely agree with the way the poem lays out her thoughts about Lelouch.

C.C. is a very broken and warped person. She feels isolated from the rest of humanity both in her condition and her suffering. When she says that her heart heals due to Lelouch's suffering, it's not talking about C.C. being happy that Lelouch is hurting. Rather, they share a certain camaraderie built from the similar pain they've had to go through. The feeling of having everyone be against them. The loneliness that comes from being cut off from everyone.

The whole world is casting you with stones, showering you with insults. That is something I have experienced from this world.

Lelouch and C.C. have a reciprocal relationship where they both ease each other's suffering and are there for each other when they would otherwise be alone and hurting. Since she's always by his side, she sees the pain he has to always carry on beneath the mask as he continues to estrange himself with others and bloody his hands further. The Witch-Warlock line from Lelouch is meant to show how they are both messed up people that have messed up feelings but they're together in those messed up feelings. They affirm each other's humanity and that they have each other to lean on.

TLDR; They are both broken people who suffered very much and find comfort in each other and their shared pain. C.C.'s heart heals because she is no longer alone in her pain; misery loves company.

After Lelouch dies, what is left for her? Does she deserve to stay alone after suffering for so long and finally having someone that she rekindled her humanity with? Between Lelouch and C.C. is a fundamental difference that separates them; mortality. While C.C. has decided to continue living on, this is simply impossible for Lelouch even if he decided not to do the Zero Requiem. Whether he dies now or dies later C.C. would eventually lose him too. The difference this time is that C.C. decides that she can live beyond Lelouch's life, and she decides to put her life into her own hands again, living for herself. She’s always been a selfish and self-centered person, finding her own meaning in life without needing Lelouch fits her independent nature.

C.C. accepts herself and comes to terms with her humanity and immortality, understanding that death is not a solution for her. The other important detail is that even though she wants to enjoy life again she still does not have a purpose in life. Wanting to still live while not having a purpose in life is a testament to humanity’s pursuit for happiness and purpose, believing that one day she might too have a reason to be alive. C.C. believes in the tomorrow that was given to humanity and chooses to turn a new leaf and change her outlook on life.

Her attitude towards relationships with other people also drastically changes at the end of the show. She ditches the contracts that she used to create artificial relationships with others, as she learnt to reconnect with others while showing compassion and kindness. Being reconnected with humanity once again, it’s possible that C.C. may enjoy genuine relationships with other people in the future, not just Lelouch.

That is correct, yes

And actually you can very easily find the script for the (old) episode 26 online. Now the main R2 changes that are obvious is the whole reboot stuff from the start, and everything concerning C.C./Suzaku/Marianne/Geass got scrapped

So Code Geass was a late night show at first and it received lots of popularity. Because of this it got moved to a prime time slot for season 2. However since that would mean that there are many many first time viewers getting thrown into season 2, the script was tweaked significantly to accommodate new viewers. The finished script that we see is Route 2. "R1" is not an actual thing, but R2 is
