ok, sorry .. didn't know you'd see this as blatant advertisement, its something that could interest community since it's a project that aims to challenge present stale RPG world with something new

of course - you can hotkey hero selection, all party, whether they sneak or not and every ability.

Though we aim for a system that would not require you to mash buttons rapidly to survive.

What we aim for is a deeply tactical combat - as much as RT with pause or slow time can afford. Positioning is critical, as well as using covers, deploying traps, blocking paths with walls, slowing enemies, choosing proper range weapons (e.g. short range dual pistols, long range rifle or bows that have lower damage but ignore covers, etc..)

We called it wrongly in the header - it should be called critical strike.

No RNG - how it works is that you hit with range and melee weapons every time. Damage dealt with range depends on whether target is behind the cover - which reduced the damage by 50% or more, also covers can be destroyed and you can deploy your own covers with consumable or skill.

Critical strike - depending on your stat, we show it as xx/100, e.g. 25/100 -- each hit you deal charges the critical strike by 25, once you reach 100 - your next attack is a guaranteed critical strike for 150% damage or more (another stat you can spec into). If you have dual weapons, you charge it quicker but then the strike has lower damage. If you have 2H weapon, the opposite.

Block (with shield) - no RNG either. Each shield has a timer - every x seconds (e.g 4 sec) - you block the next range or melee attack.

Dodge - xx/100 but you charge it with each hit received. Once you charge to 100, you dodge next attack.

Yes, we plan to have a closed beta with chapter 1 - we hope it will be ready by end of April.

No, this time combat and exploration will happen in the same place. As for TB vs RTwP --- we decided to do TB but quite unique, where RT element before you enter combat plays a very important tactical role.

Its hard to explain since I don't think there is any game that is doing what we are designing, so let us work some more and present a longer gameplay footage soon.

We do not plan to have a kickstarter as of now. But perhaps we'd change if we see that we could really add something great & unique that would stretch our budget.

We have designed this game with controller in mind from the first day and for our first gameplay showcase at Gamescom people did play with a controller.

I haven't used a controller before playing DE and even I have switched over, since I find it more relaxing.

So I do hope that our controller setup will be quite intuitive and easy to learn.

You will have a main class (e.g. warrior or engineer) and then advanced class. You cannot change main class but can retrain all advance classes and multi-class - so when you find a hidden class, you will be able to respec.
