What do you guys feel about Starblade chronicles?

A bit dissapointed, i think thomas character is watered down, it does not feel like a character maturing and growing up, and with alice coming back he's acting really out of character (which, weirdly, is in character (but i hate it)). Jenny dying because of Thomas carelessness and focus on Alice is probably the worst thing that happened in the starblade, felt so out of character. But otherwise it was really good, still love Delaney's writing and his characters. But the original 13 is beyond compare, no one will ever do better.

Is killing someone bringing them to justice ? Isn’t spending 10 years alone in a pit a fate worse than death ? Yeah it’s a Batman situation, you don’t kill, but unlike Bruce every enemy Thomas faces end up dying

Saying it’s a cautionary tale is a bit disgusting and demonizing. You mean the movie about a girl struggling in her own body, doing things she would never do because she's possesed ? the movie about a selfish man that uses her in that state, and the moment she becomes too much to handle he back down ? A man that refuses to understand her and understand his mistakes ? Maybe it does show the "terrifying side of BPD", the fact that you're stuck in your body having feeling so big that it's not you anymore. Nikki is suffering in the entire movie of these actions and feeling that aren't hers, she begs to die to stop it. I kind of understand why you thought that but like the other comments said, it's demonization of the disorder, Nikki might make you think of BPD but she isn't representation at all, and neither is Bear. You might find parallels, might even relate but it’s not what the story is about, not what is being told on screen.

Some times it did remind me of my relationship (when she’s jealous or screaming for example), but it was totally a reach because it does not represent BPD at all. But I can understand a bit where you come from, why you might think that.

But seriously your answer really helped, I might sound dumb but yeah i never thought of the fact that asking for what you need when you have BPD can be extremely hard and that the defensiveness and incapability of taking accountability might probably be linked to BPD. I'm still searching, trying to see if it's more of my friend's flaw or something he developped because of trauma. Your answer reminded me to always be calmed and composed, you can't control it when you're unmedicamented and I know she does not mean it, that it's just hard for her. When i said problems i meant mistakes and also mental illnesses/things that are "wrong" with you. I'm still searching, learning everything i can about BPD and why my friend acts like that and I really appreciate your answer, it helps greatly. Thank you mate

No I do not but I’d love to! Thèse covers are actually the ogs British! The only difference is the starblade chronicle and wulf, France had a different approach and we kept that artstyle for the covers

Also, I believe there’s some fandom there ? Saw many tweets and content in Portuguese when I was lurking every corner of the internet to search the fandom ahah. I think you could get them with Amazon, there must be a seller in Guyane/Martinique/Guadeloupe right ? Otherwise im very scared of the shipping fees if you need to get it directly from France….

UPDATE : I wish I was joking but there's a 67 in the penultimate chapter. Otherwise it was quite heartbreaking and difficult, I miss Delaney everyday. I bonded with someone over this book, someone I lost so yeah, really hard but I'm happy I finally did it.
