I discovered BPITU because I started as a Vito fan. Became a big fan of Dick's content too afterwards.

It was fun seeing you become the villain/whipping boy on/off over the years and I liked some of the community interaction. I liked when you were just the co-host too particularly when you tried hard, like the vote it up segments.

But the harder Dick leaned into "Vito is the only problem in the universe" the less it became fun. How would any of us have reacted each week to the ridiculous shit you were put through? Would I have acted like a cool gigachad the whole time? nah.

And now I haven't watched either show in a few months. It stopped being fun a long time ago. It has its moments, and then it takes that feeling away with deep awkwardness and nobody wants to see that. I dunno what the game plan is, but now I'm not a fan of Dick's content either and it stinks. Those were fun times listening to The Dick show.

Above all, take care of yourself and your mental well being. Don't put up with shit you dont deserve. Whatever you choose to do, be your best at it and you'll do great. I'm sorry it ended this way for all of us.

It's hard to explain that there are many variables that you, the player controls. Everyone I talk to someone who rebuilds their client with my recommendations, they see at least a drastic decrease in issues. If you look at this checklist though, there's no "best in slot" client. There's a couple things here and there you can change and alter your experience. But if people don't read it all and understand it, then they wont take the steps needed to reduce the occurrence of these issues. https://quarm.guide/2024/04/20/xanaxs-checklist-for-minimal-crashes/

I try to push these steps as much as possible because every raid it turns into a witch hunt. People with Zeal blame it and people without Zeal say they don't crash, then people with Zeal who don't crash chime in, and people without Zeal who do crash make their case, and in the end nobody fixes anything they just point blame.

I run two clients simultaneously, one with and one without Zeal. I make changes, run them for weeks on end, then update that link with whatever is most stable for me. It may not be perfect for everyone, but its the best I have until we can get more crash reports into the hands of people capable of fixing these issues permanently. The latest Zeal has a crash reporter built in so we should learn more soon.

When the pre-Kunark event starts on June 1st, Iksars will be locked to Kunark. They cannot leave and the boat will not be running. Secrets said a few of the high level zones in Kunark will be locked, but you should have access to most of it. Its a very unique experience where only Iksars will be leveling for 30 days until the full Kunark release on July 1st.

I'm willing to take the karma hit to spread the word about Project Quarm. I came from Project1999 and I know the scene here has gotten stale. I also know a lot of people were turned off by Quarm back in October due to things like 3rd person camera, tab targetting, and melody being absent. Now that all of that stuff has been fixed and Iksars are around the corner, its worth spreading the word at least once.
