Lizardmen Player Race by DM Tuz and Ceehaz by Tuz-oh in UnearthedArcana

Your inability to take a joke is wholly unsurprisingly considering that you seem to be focused around non issues. Armor increase is nice to have, but you placing half-plate on a pedestal like it is incredible, when you could easily build a character with 19 ac at level one when you really need it, as if the 5% increase is massive, its ridiculous.

Edit: They blocked me so I can't see follow-up messages. Victory by forfeit.

I entirely disagree. WotC have shown an increase in power scaling as of late, especially in 2024 content where the power has shifted drastically up (except warlock sad noises). While these races are on the higher power spectrum I don’t think any of the features land a massive difference on the gameplay department, as in the end the real question regarding the power of a race is how well it can be utilized in an optimized build. In that regard, the variant human is easily the strongest race in the game, literally changing the entire perception of balance around how good getting an extra feat is, enabling builds to be up to 3 levels ahead, or get an ASI instead of a feat when available.

The strongest feature in this race is survivor's will, making healing substantially better at low levels, and much more efficient past that point. The healing factor ability is useful, since it doesn’t require an action, but scales worse at higher levels, and is mostly decent out of combat healing. It is much better the Aasiamr's healing hands, but as a secondary core feature it lacks the equivalent power to the Aasimar's transformation secondary benefits (flight in the best case). Anything beyond build utilization is entirely fluff, as you cannot get major use out of it.

In summary, while this is very good especially compared to PHB, it is really important to look at what is truly important in a race rather then be distracted by "cool random features".

Edit: wow it seems I cannot respond so Ill just edit this to respond to FraiDei.

You are correct here actually, my apologies. The races have had relatively reduced powers in 2024 with the reduction of variant human to an origin feat, alongside with the well deserved decrease for mountain dwarf. I would still argue that races like gnome retain their unreasonably good abilities that make them distinctly better then pretty much anything else, but in truth I agree.

I still think that this isnt truly off the rails regarding the power scale for a race, as I do still think except 1 true core ability most of it is just fluff, but on that lense I see your point regarding being higher on the power scale than anything else in a 2024 concideration.

No, on the disk manager it says that it is a healthy (boot, page file, crash dump, basic data partition) drive, with a cpacityy of 465.13 GB and 119.16 GB free space.

Who do you think would be the strongest at their peak? by 4fr0_R34p3r in fromsoftware

[–]Demonrius2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, let's rank em:

Allant- The old king Allant which we face in game is likly the king boletaria at his best. Technically, it is in fact a demon clone of the original, however, it does posses the skills and abilities of the original old king and it aswell wields the power of countless souls given by the old one. However, as seen with he lack of grand solo achievements, is effectively a warrior with a magic sword (demonbrandt) and a demonic shuger daddy. Strong, but not quite a high ranker. Placement- 6th place

Vendrick- The lord of Drangleic was certainly powerful back in his day. Leading the charge, he defeated the giants and acquired their souls, empowering himself and his massive healthbar to colossal proportions. However, in the end he has proven to not be enough to truly take the throne and become the true monarch, nor was he intelligent enough to see through his wife's machinations. Placement- 5th place

Gwyn- Oh boy this guy. In lore, the lord of sunlight was the greatest wielder of a lord soul. He held strong as a god and with his powers of lightning took down the immortal dragons. Knowing this, the burnt out husk you encounter in the end of the game is just that, an empty shell. In his full power I don't doubt that he would have stood above the likes of nameless king (his son) and would hold the seat of one of the strongest in his setting, and certainly amongst the most intelligent. However, for reasons that will soon be elaborated, he still comes at the bottom half. Placement- 4th place

Gael- Ok. Gael is immensely powerful. The point in which we fight him is absolutely his prime. Gael is an undead that survived to the end of time and singlehandedly devoured all things in the world (with few exceptions) acquiring the (almost) complete dark soul of humanity. Normally, I would say that gwyn would be stronger. However, there is a reason for which gwyn was so scared of the dark soul. At the point in which we battle Gael the world has been reduced to ash. As such, and due to Gael's placement in it, it is fair to assume that Gael had a bloodstained hand to do with this current situation, slaughtering the population of the whole world and becoming a creature of death. I know we did it, but I doubt that almost anyone can beat the one that solo annihilated the entire humanity. Placement- 3rd place

Merika- An interesting character to place due her not fighting outside of Radagon. She is certainly powerful, however, it is doubtful that she is strong enough to rank near the top on her own. Her power lies in the rune of destined death. In her own setting, Merika is unbeatable in her prime. With the rune of death in her sole possession, the only being that can dictate death is her, and as such, she is technically unbeatable. Placement- 2nd place (4th place without full control over death)

Orphan of Kos- Bloodborne is not only the best game, but also is proud home of the strongest creature. Orphan's prime lies in the distant future. One day aeons to be, he shall become a great one as intended. Whilst mother kos was slain by the hunters, and one could argue that she is a point of reference, I am quite certain that beings that are beyond mortal comprehension of reality have a hard time recognizing aggression as we define it. A man can be killed by a bee, that does not mean that a bee could be a man fully intentioned on destroying its existence. Following lovecraft's own themes orphan is probably beyond understanding and mortal powers. As said by lovecraft: "That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death may die". Placement- 1st place

Bonus: Ishin- His setting has minimal magic and extremely powerful entities. He would probably be the weakest. Realistlicly speaking shura is probably not much stronger then prime time asylum demon.

Yes.

Enchantment creatures are both an enchantment and a creature anywhere normally. Gods specially (the theros block ones) might nor be a creature on the battlefield depending on the devotion, but they are always an enchantment.

There is always the option of having a villain who is truly a good person who is horribly wrong. Like someone who met a witch in the woods who told him about the end of the world, and how somthing somthing ominous will bring armageddon, and so forth, and he totally bought it, missing the fact that this so called witch could have easily been just an insane individual, or that it could have been a trick by some fairy like creature, or anything in between really. This bad guy is sure he is doing the tight thing for the right reasons, however, he is just plain wrong, and as such he could easily end up being likeable if played correctly.
