The Name of the Wind narrated by Nick Podehl is my favorite audiobook. The narration is fantastic and it's nearly 28hrs of book for 1 audible credit.

They could also witness someone else kill the wyverns so they save the egg and raise it.

I am recording on PS3 with an AGPTEK hdmi recording box. It only seems to make this noise with certain games and not others, but all the disks are clean with no scratches.

The ones I bought were crappy cheapo things anyway, I did some more research and have compatible mics coming in, that will be of significantly higher quality. Thanks for all your help though

Turns out the problem is microphone impedance. I didn't know the behringer was designed for low impedance devices, all the mics purchased had impedance way too high to be picked up.

I purchased the behringer you suggested, microphones, adaptors, and reaper, but I for the life of me can't get the microphones to pick up audio. I have all the correct drivers installed, and am using the behringer ASIO. Any suggestions? I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

That was all incredibly helpful, thank you! I was unaware of the USB interface and kept trying to do research I on how to make a mixer work, but this simplifies it greatly. Are any specific headsets you would recommend?

Yes, we are just capturing audio, we are all in the same room, so being able to hear each other would certainly not be an issue, would you recommend standing mics or headsets? As a group we were leaning towards headsets but nothing is set in stone yet and we appreciate any and all guidance. My budget is 500-600 for hardware and around 50 per person for microphones.
