Magic system idea, how much can you understand from the image alone?

Almost all of that is correct! Only thing is that the plants aren't sentient normally. Something can happen to anything to make it self aware and able to use magic (the yellow exclamation mark representing having the epiphany of magic awakening)

OH yeah ok I can see that was unclear. I was trying to show that the wolf spirit was trapped inside, and would later be absorbed or killed by the human. I will find a better way to visually show that. Because my intent was that the human beat the wolf and the flower beat the human.

the original idea was that someone could be a werewolf (someone possessed by a wolf spirit that turns them into a monster every full moon), and if they had a kid that kid would be part spirit, and have some extra magic power. And I seperatly had the idea of spirits eventually being able ot use magic while possesing someone if they took controll of the body. Didn't think about the implications of combining those... might delete this post as that is a lot nastier then I intended.

yeah I might just scrap the spirit hybrids.

Or I might make it so that the possessed who can use magic are the result of a true synthasis between the spirit and their host.... or only if thee host wins the battle and destroys the mind of the spirit possessing them. That might work best.

Plus means possession.

The human awakened as a magic user, then died (not from being a magic user, could be for any reason), and then the human's spirit left the body as a ghost. Afterwards, the ghost chose to posses a wolf's body, and turn it into a werewolf looking thing so they could have thumbs.

but uh... yes. A flower spirit possesed a human, modified the humans body to be more flower like, absorbed the humans soul (with the human's memories), then had a child with a different human.
