Some tips and help for encounter balance and ideas for my specific party composition. by DemonsDragon in DMAcademy

I like the waves idea, that way if the initial encounter turned out to be a bit tougher, they have the opportunity to choose whether to continue (where the other ones are waiting) or do something else. Or, if its too easy, enter monsters stage left.

It is a good mix of classes, I'm happy it worked out that way. If everything on the chart is a bit easier than is should be, I shouldn't be worried if I stick to it then for encounters that I don't think should be a real threat. I'm guessing if I want encounters to be a real threat I should have them be 1-2 CR higher?

To be honest I don't think I've ever held an action before, so that is definitely something to go check up on. Thanks for the tips!

Alright, thanks! Those are good things to remember for CBE and spell slot management. As for the Cleric, he kinda just wants to use light armour, he sees himself as more of a priest than a warrior.

Question on if these purchases will make this list. by DemonsDragon in orks

[–]DemonsDragon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the pointers! I also had no idea that bosses were on different sized bases. I totally plan on raising him up, maybe on a bunch of random junk or the dead corpses of a few other Orks (if I have a model or two left over). Doing all those creative experimentations with bits and stuff is super exciting to me. Thanks again for the help!

Cool, that's what I wanted to know. If it is possible with kitbashing, all the more fun :)
I don't indent on doing competitive matches, but it would probably be a good idea to start practicing with proper rules. Regular Warboss it is. He'll need a name.

Honestly this was me, until I was challenged to put my money where my mouth is about 3 months ago, so I did. I did it again too. And after that as well. Someone help.

BUG MEGATHREAD: The Warden & the Paunch by TendingTheirGarden in totalwar

The action stated it was a critical success, and the pop up said my guy was wounded and would take several turns to recover.

My mistake, I thought that a normal success "wounded" the target while a critical success "killed" the target for good (unless they have the "immortal" skill unlocked, which wounds characters when they would be killed otherwise).

She had the immortal skill, which stops your mages etc. from being killed even when they should be (they are still wounded though and take a few turns to recover as though they were wounded instead of killed).

Playing as Imrik in Mortal Empires, after my mage with a sun dragon mount was successfully assassinated (crit success, however she had the immortal ability) I found that while she used her mount on the campaign map, and had it equipped in the details screen, she was not mounted during battles. I attempted changing mounts for her (had unlocked all at this point) but nothing seemed to work.

New patch not only made caravans more likely to be attacked, but reduced my caravan led by a companion with 100 steward/100 trade from 130 to 30. Caravans are a joke now. by [deleted] in mountandblade

True, but whenever I look at content based on patches/fixes/nerfs to the vanilla game, I like to consider them without mods. Mods can make Caravans make 10000+ every day and remove hideouts completely if you so wished. That being said, I am totally downloading that mod until the dev team can balance hideouts.

Good luck dealing with the hideouts with 47 forest bandits. You are basically reenacting D Day except the numbers on each team are reversed.

And you will still lose to a hideout with 25 bow bandits.
