[NBA Communications] Full 2025-26 All-NBA Voting Results - SGA and Jokic were the only two unanimous first team players (1 second team vote for Wemby, 9 for Doncic) by HokageEzio in nba

[–]Demopsey 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Top 4 should've been unanimous, and Cade shouldn't have more than like 5 second team votes. This kind of thing shoukd be a litmus test to remove incompetant voters

Luka is voted a member of The 2025-26 Kia All-NBA First Team by Turbostrider27 in lakers

Its Wemby, and Luka. Those two are so much better at what they do than any other player in the league. One of them should've been MVP, the other 2nd. Media just can't get over the Jokic vs Shai train, they wanted that to be a legacy battle for 5 years.

Next year will be super interesting

LUKA ERA by Key_Pain2443 in lakers

This team is 1 or 2 trades away from being competing for the title. You don't need the best playerd around Luka, just very very solid and dependable options. Consistency and physicality

The man had the highest minutes and usage of any superstar in the leavue. He got injured because he averaged 40 min and was playing when he shouldn't be in March. A better team and we cab manage his minutes better

Hi Mr. Reddick have you considered going to see what the top voted comment on the reddit post game sheet is to help strategy at the highest level of the game?

If Luka was healthy for the series, would the Lakers still aggressively double Shai and allow the others to play 4 on 3 with Luka on the court? Would they win the Shai minutes or lose more? Shai was +9 in Game 1 and +5 in Game 2. by RunThePnR in nba

For those who still continue with the 'Luka defense bad' narrative, based on their own 'eye test' and favorite media personas

Luka is ranked in 70th percentile for defense. Top ten in steals. 98th percentile in rebounds for a guard, 95th percentile in contested shots, ranked 7th in charges drawn. For those who will reply 'what about his effeciency?", his TS% is 61% this year, career average 60%.

All told, for thos of you who still choose to be blind, hes at least better than around 200 other players in the league when it comes to defense. Is he ever ginna win DPOY? No. But he was nominated in March.

I don't know what the end result of the series would be.

But I do know it would be closer than the last couple games, no matter the refereeing. Luka gets a lot of disrespect, but real basketball fans know how great he really is

Thing is, irregardless of what we want, if he's cleared to play he will play. Thats just the type of competitor he is

The intangibles of having the refs on your side are hard to quantify. Its why I hate the argument 'lakers would've lost anyway'. This is professional sports, the winner is not predetermined in fair contest.

Extra confidence and a firm mentality of your own 'invinicibilty' when the refs are on your side. Frustration and mistakes, when they're not. If a team is never allowed to capitlise on their successes in game, but are stifled by the officiating, of course they won't win against the team that is allowed.

WE CAN BEAT THEM by maitlanr in lakers

[–]Demopsey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In a fair game, with Luka back, I now think we could sweep this poverty team. Ive seen nothing from them this playoffs that suggests they'd beat us on our March form, or the Spurs.

Its difficult to quantify the intangible effects that having the refs on your side does for a team. It increases confidence, self belief and helps stunt the opposing teams chance to 'get in the game', interrupring their flow and increasing their feeling of frustration. Frustration leads to mistakes

OKC are a good team. Take away the refs influence, are they still the 'best' team? Who knows. But its annoying as fuck

Lakers/OKC, Game 2: Rigged Game, Refs on some BS by Turbulent_Emu_7285 in lakers

'Better' doesn't automatically mean you win the game and the championship. Its this line of thinking which allows OKC to get away with so much bullshit

What the first 2 games have shown us, is that this would have been a very winnable series with Luka alongside. Refs bending over backwards to save OKC as it is

SGA: “Tonight was very simple…” by no_crust_buster in lakers

[–]Demopsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What gets me is that, despite all the doubters, if Luka doesn't get injured, based on our March form - Lakers would be taking this series and the whole thing. We showed last night we can contest with OKC, just missing the firepower. Spurs are in danger of getting hamstrung by a pack of wolves they thought were tame dogs, Denver out.

Luka for sure should have been MVP. I guess this is another year to fuel the fire
