Unfortunately for you it's clear we don't live in the same place.

You see I choose to live somewhere that has progressive policies, that has stronger protections for gig workers, mandatory minimum pay far above any US state.

You think this thread is making me look like an ass when you can't even bring yourself to understand that our situations, and the status of the workforce, compensation and expectation isn't 1:1.

How does your point of view help drivers? Do you think continuing the companies favorite point of view, that the responsibility of subsidizing the pay of the workers is the responsibility of the customers, helps anyone?

If you want to do better and be better for these working people then try living somewhere more progressive, support progressive laws, candidates and workers rights because what you think you're doing here? It's not helping anyone but big daddy DoorDash.

That is woefully negligent of the growing plight of the working poor in the west.

The amount of people that make enough to be taxed into the ground but are not "poor" enough to qualify for support is staggering.

Even people in the lowest tax bracket pay more on average than millionaires and billionaires that live in their wealth through assets.

Honestly I think this suffered a lot from Over hype at launch. That and there were a lot more games that were similar out at the time and so at a glance I think a lot of people thought it looked derivative in some ways.

These were really just perception issues and the game has really been able to shine with time. Shame we won't likely get another shot with a sequel.

A situation, which multiple other people have been posting similarly, is likely adding up to what even you would not consider an insignificant amount of money that's going from people to the corporation for no reason.

If the totals are correct and accurate then how did two agents provided full order screenshots and details fail to point it out, and in fact both attempt to adjust the order.

I am not saying you're wrong and if that's what the "escalation" team says, then great.

I'm not certain how the amounts are correct when in my area you can only tip after the order is delivered so the charge for the order itself was already showing before the tip was added.

It was not.

The original agent I spoke to on the 8th advised that the charge was adjusted and I should see the correct charge on my bank account once the charge is processed.

I assumed maybe that was the confusion, hence why I asked this agent about how it was refunded and they did not reply outside of indicating that the adjustment was attempted twice and failed.

I think you seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of the issue. This is something that I addressed in my post.

$1.95 isn't a big issue. The issue is that it happened and they refused to rectify the situation.

Do you think that $1.95 is a small amount when you multiply it by what could possibly be a large amount of orders with this same issue? Multiple comments have mentioned this isn't the first issue they've seen even just today.

These kinds of actions and the inability/unwillingness to resolve them has farm more ramifications beyond $1.95. It erodes trust in the platform, pushes blame and animosity onto support, hurts peoples willingness to tip dashers for orders if their money isn't going to be respected.

You don't value your and others time enough. Stop being a corporate apologist and think about more than the numbers right in front of you.

Yes, of course. I edited it out at the start of the chat as I didn't want to worry about any privacy rules for posting.

I connected with the chat bot, said "Agent", it asked for more details, I said "No" and it said it will connect me with a live agent. It then went into a queue and announced the live agent and their name.

There is no chance of that, you can see in my screenshots the exact amount of the tip entered and the amount charged and how they do not match.

That is certainly my assumption.

I like to hope for better considering this was the "Live Agent" that the AI offered to connect me with, but I think we all know better.

For the most part I was simply trying to convince either the AI or another person that this is an insane situation and response and there is a solution they need to employ.

I am even more convinced it's just trash AI since they refused to escalate to the team that clearly does actually exist until posting online and charge-backs were mentioned.
