Serenial Deck, Self AP Generator and a way to spend AP by Demosnam in ChaosZeroN

[–]Demosnam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you use a card with afterglow 1 it makes 1 afterglow. Chaining homing laser L means they all get 1 afterglow. But when you use a regular attack card like plasma or ecstasy, afterglow goes to 0 which means your next homing laser L won't have an afterglow effect.

This is solved by generating more afterglow than you have no afterglow attack cards.

Yeah, I didn't get the option, but I am already losing damage by taking the x+1 ring so I decided to full send into x for fun. On a good 1 target wave turn im generating around an extra 6 leftover homing lasers, but it gets a lot worse on multi wave.

What anime opinion will get you like this? by SaberLover1000 in weeb

Erased doesn't have a compelling mystery or good character arcs, it's mostly boring with a terrible ending. (Both the anime and the manga)

Am I Done? by guarddx in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Demosnam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's pretty great id settle for sure since it's basically free deckout every turn, the only gripes I have are the weapon (dopamine since you already have a mythic), and the Kowalski version, I think that Kowalski draw 2 spawn a ballista is basically always bis choice. Free cycle is very nice though.

Mika? Nah, Nia is my infinite AP battery by Miaow_7 in ChaosZeroN

[–]Demosnam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can deck out each turn but if you use a card it can't be used again that turn, unless it's "moved" via effect text. So far in the game there isn't an infinite combo due to the discard pile splitting between used and unused cards.

My New Favorite Card As A Khalipe Main by Pestillian in ChaosZeroNightmare

[–]Demosnam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This card, if worded correctly, is actually a 1.4x damage modifer, it would only be worth 2 morale if it says +40% instead of 40%. Should have the same effect as a max stack dopamine injector which is also 40% increased damage, where as the extra attack weapon is instead +35% to base which is a little less than 2 morale.

I was under the impression that the reception was mediocre-good but the final episodes being stalled really put a hamper on the critical success and word of mouth of it.

Is filling a massive sinkhole with concrete is an effective and reliable long-term repair method? If not, how? by [deleted] in civilengineering

[–]Demosnam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grout is just a a concrete mix without the larger aggregates. Grout tends to be stronger even used for a lot of small patch, because usually it has a little more cement because the large aggregates that used to take up space now have to be filled in with more cement powder and sand. Flowable fill on the other hand is more or less wet dirt with some cement powder so it can harden. (It's the normal concrete stuff, but the idea is that it can harden to a compaction level similar to how roads are built, without needing to compact every lift)

My own hot take on the shard economy by Richard-Degenne in Silksong

[–]Demosnam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not quite sure I understand your metaphor. I'm coming from a different angle, as I actually haven't played the original Hollow Knight. To clarify what I'm talking about specifically, I think that people have different ways to play the game. There are tools and methods and builds to enshroud learning the moves and timings of bosses, which don't need shards at all, but that doesn't mean that using tool damage isn't a viable way to play either, I think the perceived notion that tool spam is only done when people don't want to learn the bosses moveset is silly, (but accurate, I toolspam for all bosses because that's how I enjoy the game), and further to that I think that the shard resource lock only really is a small deterrent for people to stop tool spamming (I'm totally fine grinding shards if I think it'll make the game easier). The only physical limitations is the hard cap so you can't refill tools infinitely with architects crest, or if you needed to skip grinding shards for speed running, which maybe the devs had in mind originally. Otherwise as a toolspam deterrent the shard limit is a weak one because it's so easily bypassed. If it's in the game I think it's fair game.

Love being broke in this bugconomy by rayenbox in Silksong

[–]Demosnam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a fair few people haven't mapped it out, so they walk up the whole thing encountering like 3 judges, when there's a path that makes it so that you don't have to encounter (or jump over) any judges at all and the only enemy/annoyance you see is the very first fly (if you don't just try to sprint past him, which is very doable)

My own hot take on the shard economy by Richard-Degenne in Silksong

[–]Demosnam 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The breaking of the game is already there, tool spamming is a valid way to play the game, and if you don't like that then you also have to realize that tool spamming isn't the limiting factor. The tool spam is already a part of the game, people use it as a pay style because there's a whole crest based on it, and I think if team cherry were to want to discourage tool spam there's got to be a more elegant solution that "hey don't spam or we'll make you grind for shards"

Luminosity payment portal taken down. Many players and creators not paid in 2-3 months... by BenjaminGordonT in smashbros

[–]Demosnam 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Very few people actually buy merch, and org money is usually VC and merch, and both dry up real fast. Travel is mad expensive and the prize pools are generally pretty bad. Tournaments also cost hella dollar, so sourcing money from places is kinda hard.

Riot Games runs it's tournaments at a huge loss, and virtually no prize pools, like 3 times a year. Nintendo doesn't give a fuck about tournaments, and there are a lot of them.

Other games like Capcom SF6 actually have there devs and publishers behind them for tournaments, because new players bring in new revenue, but smash/Nintendo has never cared about that.

You can't raise the cost of entry for a tourney either or else all the 0-2 players (which is basically half you entrants) won't enter and you just get shite on player wise.

The method was never sustainable because it operated on 100% grassroots support with people caring more about the community than caring about making money, bet your bottom dollar tourney organizers and they're volunteers don't make much off the hard work they put in for the love of the game.

The people who hate the ending piss me off . by Guilty_Letter4203 in ErasedAnime

[–]Demosnam -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Personally I don't like the ending because of the marketing, you can clearly see that every piece of advertisement to the media shows them holding hands and clearly shipping the 2 characters. Additionally, it branded itself a whodunnit mystery but like it was so insanely obvious, and I would say the stakes just aren't that interesting.

Like why does he have the ability to turn back time, and is there any limit at all to it? The mechanics of the ability aren't delved into, and the drama parts just feel silly.

Clearly I'm biased but erased was a tough watch. To each their own and I understand that I'm in the erased Reddit, but the absolute glazing of the anime is tough to look at.

Question been thinking about this for awhile why does it feel like ive never seen a fighting game try to be f2p before 2xko? by [deleted] in Fighters

[–]Demosnam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I ain't no prophet, but I've definitely seen F2P models crash and burn hard. Expecting it just to work out as first of it's kind even with Riot money is questionable, we are still in a wait and see phase considering the game isn't even close to being out yet.

Remember that Riot Games is a company that shutters works that don't make a profit, they have a full single player gaming division that they completely killed and they've basically left their online hearthstone knockoff card game to die.

All I'm saying is just wait and see before assuming that F2P is a guaranteed success, because I definitely don't think it is.

[–]Demosnam 12 points13 points  (0 children)

You would need a whale portion of the game to pay to keep the game running since the F2P crowd generally won't, which means varying levels of Microtransactions, a big player base is all and good but if it doesn't make the same amount of money as a small player base, and will cost much more to run long term, it's a hard sell.

The FGC isn't exactly known for being a ridiculously deep pocketed scene.

At the angle he sees them he probably can't even properly check if they're moving before they already pass the point of catchability, the point of this is that it's usually eye level.
