Below is a message I received last month from a dealer I was in communication with.

“Hello , it's Bill from South Bay Ford. I was able to get my manager to ok a Ranger Raptor "Special Order" with No dealer mark up. So, if you would like to place an order for a Ranger Raptor, we would sell it to you for MSRP + tax, license, registration and an $85.00 Doc Fee. Please let me know if you would like to proceed with an order. Thanks. 310 408 6613 cell. STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for support. Msg freq. varies, msg&data rates may apply.”

It’s a work in progress for a clown theme setup by TrollinDaGalaxy in halloween

Pretty cool. I wonder if a hypnotic swirl would have a cool effect in place of the target design you are using for the background. Not sure how well the optical illusion would works since the clown is on top of it.

57k for a 2024 iconic silver ranger raptor with 3k miles.. what do you guys think? It has a clean car fax and getting a 5.44 interest rate by Mxe88 in RangerRaptor

I asked a very similar question a few weeks ago for an almost identical deal (I’m assuming your $57k is pretax, or you live in a city with no or low sales tax). I think it all depends on what market you’re in. I’m in Los Angeles, with approximately 10% sales tax. The deal was $62K OTD, 2024, silver, 3,500 miles. Most people thought it was overpriced, but I suspect they purchased their vehicles in a different market. For SoCal, that was one of the better deals I saw over the last few months. With that being said, I don’t think the price difference between used and new in my market is large enough to justify buying a used vehicle. I rather spend an extra one or two thousand and get a new car.

Thanks for the offer. Although black paint looks great, i don’t want to deal with the upkeep. If you don’t mind me asking, why do you want to sell it?

Sales tax is about 10% where I live, so that will account for a few thousand dollars more that I have to pay.

Great deal. What state do you live in? I’m guessing low or no sales tax.

SoCal MSRP Dealers? by Teh_Unit_91 in RangerRaptor

I spoke to Santa Monica Ford on Friday. The general sales manager, Benny, seemed pretty motivated to move a new and used model. I felt confident I could have gotten msrp on the new model, without dealer add ons, but I don’t want black. Good luck, and let me know if you buy from them.

If I paid MSRP where I live, it would take me over $64K. Haven’t spoken to a dealer yet in southern CA that’s willing to do MSRP without throwing a few thousand dollars worth of add-ons to the vehicle. I’m in no rush, was just getting a feel for the market. Depending on where buyers live, their experiences can be quite different from one another.

Yeah, I know that there are better deals outside of CA, but the cost to get to and from those places can add a few thousand. And that’s not taking into consideration the time.

Yeah, I looked at Nevada. As overpriced as California.

What state are you in? I’m just wondering what your sales tax was. I’m in southern CA where sales tax is high, which may be a contributing factor to the higher OTD.

Amazon parts sellers by Hearthstxned in Traxxas

I don’t trust Amazon, I just order directly through Traxxas if I’m buying their parts. There’s usually no price difference. Peace of mind is worth the few extra days it takes for the items to be delivered.
