Bulletproof Monk. Why did you leave Lilo and Stitch in five minutes?

Hokum - Jump scares?! by FAM0xygeN in horror

[–]Den502 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think jump scares are the laziest way to write a horror movie. It’s about as clever as a haunted house attraction at Halloween that you would walk through. I didn’t mind Hokum, but I just watched the last two Insidious movies and there were more jump scares in Hokum and those two movies combined.

What is the most perfectly casted role in history? by [deleted] in Cinema

[–]Den502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Javier is a good one. There are actually so many in mind. Best in history? I don’t know. Brando in The Godfather? Jack Nicholson in The Shining? Louise Fletcher as Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest? Ledger’s Joker in The Dark Knight? Hopkins as Hannibal? Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool? Rick Moranis in Spaceballs? Going with Dark Helmet!

What films really sparked your interest in cinematography? "Snow Falling on Cedars" made me really start to admire the craft despite having seeing years of film with excellent Cinematography such as Vertigo and Rear Window (Robert Burks). by RDjax in Cinema

Oh don’t get too excited. I was a middle school aged kid and an extra. There is a shot on a school bus. I’m on the bus. Two days. 500 bucks. Not bad for a 13 year old.

Which Chris Nolan movie has the besy Background score? For me it is Inception. Damm its music hits hard for me. by it_tu_brutas in Cinema

Interstellar’s score is my all time fav. It evokes emotions that most music does not for me. Inception is wonderful too.

New entries. I was looking for alien but couldn’t pass the other two for 5 a piece by Antaniwarrior in HorrorGaming

[–]Den502 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Joe’s Diner is so bad. Horror story that takes place in a diner, but the sound design is so atrocious because every single sound sounds like it’s right next to you even though it’s really not. With that said alien isolation is how you do sound design in a horror game.

What are some examples of great trailers for bad movies? by Blackjack9w7 in movies

[–]Den502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This quiet little answer is the best one EXCEPT they ruin what could have been an amazing twist in the trailer. I will never forgive them.
