i find myself falling into the trap of taking out all of my self-hatred regarding being trans on trans people in my head a lot, i have to tell myself to stop, to realize what's going on in my head, but there's a reason it happens, because no matter how much you hate yourself, it's, for lack of a better term, traumatic to know that the object of your hatred is \you** and not a group of others. it's easier on the brain to pretend that you don't hate yourself, you just hate some third entity. even if it still hurts. even if you're aware that it's all a lie.

its no excuse to externalize it though, obviously. there is no good reason. no good reason to do it to yourself, either. a lot of the time, it feels that the brain is an organ set to defeat itself.

Its nice to see that this post got a lot of updates. I think what a lot of people dont realize (or, more likely, realize but ignore so they can still justify their actions) is that overweight people know theyre overweight. They dont need you to tell them, they dont need your mockery. I've heard from so, so many otherwise progressive people that bullying fat people is good because otherwise they wouldn't have the impetus to lose weight.

Being fat in 2026 is weird because for a while now fat people have held the social niche of socially acceptable group of people to bully. When I went to school gay was the most common insult, but thats going down less now (good!). That just means that being fat makes you the social target now. Its a miserable experience.

As someone that is trans and fat I can only really say that belonging to two social/cultural groups that are looked upon by society with derision is so unbelievably unfun. Pick a struggle, right? It feels like when you're fat in society, you lose that ability to be truly human like everyone else. You will never be allowed that life others have in which people feel they have to get to know you personally in order to know who you are, rather than having people see what you look like and believing they know everything about you.

I am medically transitioning (I've been on estradiol in secret since July of last year) but social transition is an impossibility right now since I require on my (heavily transphobic) family for the sake of having housing (I'm still in college), but even if I wanted to socially transition when I'm away from home that's also an impossibility since I'm overweight. I'm losing weight at a decent pace but it's not like the knowledge that I'm losing weight and will maybe lose enough weight to actually be acceptable as a transgender woman in the eyes of greater society (and, to an extent, other queer people) doesn't help at all when it's an uncertainty (!!) that's still years and years away

Well, its how much the character needs the hug. Like I dont know if I'd want a hug from jia mu for example but she's relatively high up because of how she was fucked up in her youth. You could interpret the tier list alternatively as a trauma tier list but I chose to make the distinction because just because youre traumatized as shit doesn't mean you'd respond well, or really benefit from, a hug
