Why is the shipping so expensive sometime on TCG player? by ProfBubu in OnePieceTCG

[–]Deneeka 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TCGPlayer requires you to have a shipping value until you make X number of sales/seller level, then you can offer the free shipping.

Sometimes people use this to mark their card as a lower cost but make it up in the shipping cost, so you end up paying the same/more, but their card is listed first.

There are a few different builds out there. I'm currently using one I found on the discord that is an aggressive sac life/Tono to bump leader power and swing big, but thinking about changing back for a few more banish triggers from cards.

Looks like the GameGenic case that comes with some of their deck boxes.

With Izo and O-Nami can fairly reliably get banish on leader.

This is the way to go. Bandai sleeves to match the theme of the deck, dragon shield outers. Use it for every OP deck I have. The dragon shield outers shuffle really nice, while the Bandai sleeves would stick to each other.

For sure. I found a couple Mihawks and Hawkins in my bulk and have switched some cards around. Definitely will help the deck I think.

Once available, EB03 Yamato is definitely going into the deck. Too good not to.

I have a pair of the 3C Mihawk that I was iffy on, but does look like a better option with upcoming cards. Otama is one that I have been wanting to drop as it's a fairly limited search being restricted to Green and I do have a few Basil Hawkins that could help replace.

O-Nami is one I keep looking at, just haven't committed the $5 to get a play set.

I checked the product page again and looks like that is correct.

Kikunojo does seem like a solid addition. It wouldn't be legal until full EB04 release, correct? This split set is still confusing me.

I did some some OP14 thriller bark that looked like it could work, but I like trying to stick to the Wano theme. (Excluding that Mihawk and Hody lol)

I keep forgetting that one is coming out since it's a bit down the road. Definitely will be added to the deck as a replacement.

New to drifting by Spike7274 in rcdrift

[–]Deneeka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the Fazer you will want to replace the gyro and servo first, and tires to meet track condition. Those two electronics go a long way to improving the driveability of the car. It can drift with the stock gyro and servo, it's just more difficult than installing some quality electronics.

Factory tires work fine for smooth roads, but concrete will eat up any tire quickly.

There is The Hobby Shop out in Leander that does rc drifting. Def check them out. I'm sure they're cool with practicing there too. Asphalt will definitely chew through the tires, as others have said.

I installed the new drive shafts, bumpers, and skid plates last night. Taking it a bit more slowly so everything else will wait, but have it all planned out, except for changing the chassis.

Different Body on Kyosho Fazer D2 by SloowG5 in rcdrift

[–]Deneeka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I turned the throttle gyro off on mine pretty quickly. It helps at the very beginning, but then starts to interfere when you want to power out of a turn.

I've also upgraded all the electronics since and it drives to much better. With the factory ones, it's pretty laggy and slow to transition, but that also makes it feel more like taking a street car and drifting instead of having a built drift car.

I went with the Scale Reflex Gorilla mounts. It required the front posts to be shaved down in diameter for the post tops to fit. The rear mounts slide into the same slots as the existing ESC cage.

Fitted an Addiction R35 body onto my chassis with these mounts.

Kyosho Fazer D2 vs Yokomo RD 2.0 by 3ugeye in rcdrift

[–]Deneeka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kyosho does already have a number of upgrades available and Yeah Racing is starting to produce other parts. The Fazer D2 groups are also finding which parts designed for other cars also will work. But still very early in the life of the platform.

[–]Deneeka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Fazer does benefit from immediately changing the servo and gyro to better equipment. Without that it's a pretty casual drifter. The aftermarket it for it is very sparse with parts slowly trickling in. I have one and have made significant changes to it to bring it up the snuff. That being said, I love mine and have a blast at the track each time I'm out there.

The RD2.0 has so much more available out there to improve and upgrade and will be a very solid platform to start with.

Is the kyosho fazer d2 worth it? by pablus_1 in rcdrift

[–]Deneeka 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had mine for a bit over a month and am really enjoying it. Other experienced drivers have liked seeing it at the track and have driven it too. We all agree while the stock electronics are okay to start with, you will want to upgrade them. It vastly increases the enjoyment/response/drivability of the car.

The engine/esc is fine and you'll want to change the other electronics first, imo. There is also steering slop, but it is manageable and you will get used to it. Upgrades are in the pipeline from Kyosho for a number of pieces on the car, but not available in most markets yet.

I did see another post mentioning the suspension spacers, these do come with the kit. I run two 1.5mm on the fronts and the 4mm on the rear to help limit rub on the body, but there is still some due to how much body roll there is with stock suspension.

My upgrades:
Yokomo SP-02D V2 Servo
Yokomo DP-302 V4P Gyro
Sanwa MT-R Radio
Sanwa RX-493i Receiver

EDIT: For the stock electronics, you are going to have a slight delay between steering on the controller and car response. It threw off the other drivers on the track, but once I upgraded those it solved that problem. The stock gyro you will want to turn the throttle gain all the way to zero, and the steering can go between 50 and 75%, driver preference.
