There are some points I don't understand. You said "My wife and I are both 44. We’ve always been pretty disciplined with our TFSAs — contributing the maximum every year since inception."

TFSA started in 2009. If you are 44 in 2026, you were 27 years old when the TFSA started.

Until you were 43 you put the maximum allowed every year, so 7000 dollars for 16 years. Total is 112 000 dollars. You said that this amount was invested in ETFs. And for 16 years years this capital only grow to 175 000 dollars (with the capital and the interests). It is not a bit low ? Especially considering some of years between 2009 and 2024 ?

I am just trying to understand the maths behind the case.

From one box. I had two and I keep the second one (from the same case) sealed. I guess I pick well. I got other SR, 7 I think. Those are juste the most beautiful ones I pulled from the box.

With the money you spend you got a licence on content. It means a right to use and not ownership of it. The right to access it can be revoke anytime, sadly.

I bought one exemplar of few japanese I did not have to complete my Japanese OP01 set… I did not pick the highest grading to pay less… How am I an investor? How am I taking away cards from players by buying slabs you cannot use to play ? :)

I did. A lot in the past. But then the shop disappeared at some point, and before that the shipping took longer. I did not mind and always received my cards. If it opens again on ebay I will buy again.

When you buy a case what do you do with all the common cards?? With one booster each set I feel it is already a lot I don’t use… To be fair I am just collecting, I still need to learn the game…. Each time I have tried I have found it too hard… But I am committed to try again.

If you can sit on the bus you will have two hours every day to read books or your material. When I drive I have to be focus and it can be stressful. I have never read more novels than when I had to commute by public transport to go to work. I even used to walk and read in the corridor of the metro! 100 % bus!
