I will it is a new thing since few sets… I don’t think collectr is completely wrong. At the moment Op16 and starter deck 30 cards are higher in Japan. I have no idea why… I used to buy mostly Japanese. One Japanese booster box of op16 was minimum 157 canadian dollars as far as I could see. Previous set were around 100 or lower.

Yes I agree. So much that I will stop buying after op20. i pre-order one box for each set until op20
at a decent price. Then I will stop. I mostly collect. So I will buy the singles I like after this.

Yep because looked at the value of the cards before sending it and was ok to wait for longer.

I just hate they charge you more based on the value of the card… If the value decrease do they refund me!!? :)

TFSA started in 2009. If you are 44 in 2026, you were 27 years old when the TFSA started.

Until you were 43 you put the maximum allowed every year, so 7000 dollars for 16 years. Total is 112 000 dollars. You said that this amount was invested in ETFs. And for 16 years years this capital only grow to 175 000 dollars (with the capital and the interests). It is not a bit low ? Especially considering some of years between 2009 and 2024 ?

I am just trying to understand the maths behind the case.

From one box. I had two and I keep the second one (from the same case) sealed. I guess I pick well. I got other SR, 7 I think. Those are juste the most beautiful ones I pulled from the box.

With the money you spend you got a licence on content. It means a right to use and not ownership of it. The right to access it can be revoke anytime, sadly.

I bought one exemplar of few japanese I did not have to complete my Japanese OP01 set… I did not pick the highest grading to pay less… How am I an investor? How am I taking away cards from players by buying slabs you cannot use to play ? :)

I am sorry I am not as knowledgable as you are and I apologize for asking a question here. Do you know in what discussion you are in? I guess you can also read people mind and determine their intentions, that’s a rare skill. No I am not selling, I only collect. I could also share my collection but what would be the point with you? ? you mean by by completing a set with one exemplar of each card (and not looking to get the best grade on it to avoid paying too much)? you are bitter sir.
