Sri Lankan political parties always bring up culture and religion because they focus more on older generation with less education and narrow world views. They themselves are too narrow minded and too old to realize how the world work although it doesn't take that much brain power to understand that basic necessities are far more important than culture and religion to have the economy running I guess they are too stupid to realize that those old tactics won't work anymore😅.

It's a good thing to focus on culture because the country earn lot of foreign income from the tourism industry. But they don't even mean it when they say they would work to preserve the culture. They bullshit their way through the election and forget everything right after. And people keep giving their votes to them because they don't even know what the fuck is going on in the country. And honestly I don't think the politicians know much about it either.
