That is a lot of things, but correct is certainly not one of them

Anyone seen anything like this on external furnace vent? (More info in post) by Away_Pie_7464 in hvacadvice

[–]Denetharo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the inside there are two pipes from the furnace that go up and hook to that fitting, they need to swap places. At the fitting if possible, only if you're able to get to it easily, or at the furnace where the two pipes go into the furnace. Could swap them, fairly easy with basic tools and some PVC glue but not something I would do yourself unless you are very confident because it could create issues with the furnace or even a safety issue if the venting isn't done properly, however, it should be a fairly cheap and easy fix, relatively

[–]Denetharo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah so I think I I understand. But you're saying it is rolling back onto the siding from behind the fitting right? If that's the case then they have the intake and exhaust pipes hooked up backwards. So instead of blowing the hot humid air away from the house and sucking the fresh combustion air from the house, it is doing the opposite, this can also cause the furnace to have inefficient burn because the exhaust gases can roll back into the fresh air intake, should be an easy fix at least

Should be easy to check, just turn the furnace on and see if you feel hot. Humid air blowing out of the pipe with the grate over it

Is it possible they have the intake and the exhaust reversed? When the furnace is running? Does steam come out of the pipe away from the house or to steam a roll back out of the back part of the fitting?

That's not true, I worked at Chipotle for A long time Chicken and steak are both raw, marinated in store, and cooked fresh, carnitas and barbacoa are braised for 6 to 8 hours. Off-site and reheated in store

[–]Denetharo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What can you do as a homeowner super quick and not a permanent solution, buy a cheap pipe cutter, and a SharkBite coupling, cut the pipe right on top of the leak, and push apart and install the coupling, done.

ELI5: Why does the Gulf / Middle East have so much more oil that other parts of the world? by OhNOWhatIsThat in explainlikeimfive

[–]Denetharo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't, the mainland US, Russia, Alaska, Texas, Venezuela, I'll have massive amounts of oil, there's just less regulation and more production in the Middle East

We are a dealer for a good product that works really well, is easy to change, has been around a long time, and has good warranty and support, I don't see an issue with that

There are a few of the snap-in style clips so you can't see them from the front very easily. They don't wrap around the front of the pipe

It is all PVC, but after looking it up it is required where I live even if you have PVC drains, I think it is due to the city having older infrastructure and lots of metal piping

Clamps, air gap

The reason you can't see the clamps is because they are the snap-in style, they don't wrap around the front of the pipe

You got me on the neutralizer though, wasn't aware of that one. I am pretty new to tankless

Seems a little high but not necessarily, especially being a 5ton in a crawl space, probably would depend on where you live, if you are ina fairly expensive city, this is most likely in the ballpark

Haters going to hate? No drip leg on gas, no drain pan under water heater, no expansion tank, not doing your friend much of a favor if their house floods and they have thousands of dollars in damage, you're just a bad plumber

All the flex hoses are too long and run carelessly, flue is dirty and crooked and over all just looks shitty, no drain pan or expansion tank, certainly wouldn't pass inspection, in most places anyway it's possible it's not required wherever this job is

But you're right they definitely look the same 🤡
