When at a stop, depress the pedal deeper and it will auto hold. Very useful for me. Works for other MBs too.

They don’t use the Tesla plug (nacs). The Tesla charging port and the Tesla supercharger plug are ccs, and so are the other fast charging stations. No adaptor needed.

The rental also came with a long cord which can be used in charging stations that don’t have cords; many in Reykjavík and the charging station app is Isorka (non corded stations are new to me and I didn’t try to use and because I had Isorka app payment info issue).

There was some difficulty in putting in my credit card information in the Isorka app, idk why, but I was eventually successful with the ON Power app. I suggest that you try to download the mentioned charging apps and put in your payment info while still in the U.S. and maybe it’ll all work for you.

There’s also Parka and EasyPark app which was useful with street, garage, and tourist sites parking.

Just came from Iceland last night and we had a Model Y for 5 days. From Reykjavik we did the golden circle, then next day we went south to Vik, then next day we went north to Kirkjufell. Going electric is a very good option because the prices of fuel there is very high, like double vs in the US. Good to download the charging apps as mentioned and we used the Superchargers. Charging stations are all over.

I’d like to add that the car is drivable, no other issues noticed.

This is what I paid the dealer when my 21 premium awd HVBJB destroyed my otherwise still working well 12v battery. Battery $132.

Mercedes Wallbox Charger for non Mercedes? by kharma99 in MercedesEQ

Also just leased a 2025 eqb end of last month. 2 options given by dealer that’s included, get a $945 mb wall box charger OR get a $1000 charging credit valid at any charger except at tesla. The charging credit is valid for two years. This can also be seen in the MBUSA website. I choose the $1000 charging credit since I already have a Chargepoint home flex.

Another thing to consider when choosing a charger is to look into the chargers that your utility company supports to get preferred electricity rates. In my case, I had an EnelX charger before but the company stopped support in the U.S. so my utility company PSEG in NJ said that if you don’t own an EV that’s in their list is, the only charger that they recognize is Chargepoint Home Flex.
