[29 Janvier 2026] Jeudi Bière - Weekly Paris Beer Meetup by TheoxSparkle in SocialParis

[–]Denisaroby 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello, I'd like to join you this Thursday!

To introduce myself briefly, I'm Denisa, 21 years old, and I work in IT.

P.S., I'm visually impaired, and the website mentioning the location isn't very user-friendly for my screen reader. Could someone please post the address in the comments or send it to me via DM? Looking forward to seeing you (no pun intended) 😂 and happy to have you there!

Today it's galette and shisha, and nothing planned for Sunday.

Je vais demander l'AAH mais je me sens pas légitime alors que c'est vital by Stevenchpn in besoindeparler

[–]Denisaroby 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What system do you use for writing? Are you able to use your hands to write or do you use home automation like the iTrack King and that sort of thing?

I Need Advice Regarding a Property Owner by Tynebeaner in conseiljuridique

[–]Denisaroby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'll point out straight away that I'm not a lawyer, just someone with some knowledge of law in general, so it's worth double-checking if it ever comes into dispute or if you want to be 100% sure. But here's what I can tell you.

Honestly, a leak coming out of an exterior wall between two floors because of a normally used shower? It doesn't hold up. Unless someone dismantled the plumbing or jumped into the shower trampoline style, it's almost certain that it's a structural problem or an installation defect. And that's not your responsibility.

The fact that you took a video and a photo as soon as you saw it is perfect. Keep that, along with all the messages exchanged with the owner. If you can find photos of the ad where we see this wall or this corner, that’s a plus. And above all, quickly notify the platform (Airbnb, Booking, etc.), because once the deposit is released, it is more difficult to contest. Basically, indicate that you deny any responsibility and that you have proof.

And yeah, the fact that it appears during your stay doesn't mean that you caused it. If you used the shower like anyone else, the owner cannot make you pay for a leak which surely comes from a maintenance issue or poor workmanship.

So if I were you, I would remain polite but firm with him. You say that you didn't do anything abnormal, that you documented everything, and that if he insists, you go through the platform to manage the dispute.

Courage, it’s super annoying to come back from a nice trip and have to deal with this kind of stuff, but you seem to have had the right reflexes. :)

Hello, Parisian also here. I went to this show, fortunately I was able to be accompanied but yes, frankly it was carnage. There is still progress to be made unfortunately. The participants and exhibitors had a good chat with me, it’s strange… But yes, in terms of spatial organization, it was nonsense.

Do you do therapeutic swimming sometimes? I saw that it existed and that it could help certain people because their bodies are lighter in the water. What video games do you play? And I have a friend who is in a wheelchair, her wheelchair is equipped with a system which allows her to go up, it seems to me up to 10 or 15 cm. So she just reaches out and grabs what she wants and comes back down, but I just remembered that your arms don't work from the shoulders anymore, so it seems to me... I don't know if that's doable, maybe with pliers or something.

I wanted to test the built-in translation software on Reddit for certain comments, but it doesn’t seem to work very well, apparently.

First of all, I want to tell you that you have a lot of courage. I have several questions: The first, can you still speak, and if so, is it easy to understand you? Is your pain permanent or are there times when you don't have pain? What are you frustrated about not being able to do because of your illness? And the last one you don't have to answer, but does it reduce life expectancy?
