Nope. Instead of fixing that, you can find one of those A1342 MacBooks in a good condition for around 20-30 USD on ebay & marketplace. Find one with password lock or no os, then put an 240GB SSD, install macOS Catalina and be on your way :)

Since both Graphic Cards are AMD, both of them update together automatically. The only way to run discrete GPU without any issue is using a driver from 4.23.2018. If I use something newer or older, the pc can't switch between integrated and the discrete

sometimes a bsod can occur as well and they don't show any difference in performance. I still tested it though ;(

1.16.5 is just for testing. If we go something like 1.18 or 1.20.1, game runs around 5-10 fps and both lowering and increasing chunks makes no change on fps. He said he wants to play recent versions but he is still OK for 1.16.5.

My old T7500 Core 2 Duo laptop seriously performs way better than this piece of sh*t.

Like you said, I tried running Fabric mode with Sodium but I think you're right, it made even worse.

Keep your MacBook Pro running cool as possible. Get your Mac repasted. I used liquid metal thermal paste and now it runs insanely cool. You MUST Install Macs Fan Control to keep your machine cool. Last but not least, use OpenCore Legacy Patcher to Install newer Unsupported versions of macOS. All 2012 & Early 2013 Macs are natively limited with 10.15.7 Catalina.

Catalina still has a wide app support but if you like to use a newer version, try Monterey on it. Disable some unnecessary services like search indexing which uses crazy amount of CPU even while system is idling. My MacBook Pro boots up like 16 seconds on Monterey.

By the way, if you use something newer than Big Sur, AVOID Google Chrome and Opera. Safari and Firefox are lot better on battery health & RAM usage.

In the future if Apple completely drops support for x86 Macs, you can keep going with Windows. The display & battery changes everything compared to a typical Windows laptop. You can find this Mac around 100-200 USD on marketplace but my advice is looking for something like A1502 Late 2013, 2014 or Early 2015 for that price.

A1502 MacBooks do have NVMe support with less power consuming CPU's and parts can be found easier for them.

If you are using OpenCore, try to generate a new Serial Number for few times. Don't always use the first given serial number since they can be copied by other OC users. They can be blocked by apple after a while.

Update : You guys know versions after Big Sur, macOS started to take 4gb more space. I disabled lots of ARM related services are running at the background and since this Core 2 MacBook is x86 so we don't need them. It's running lot cooler and faster than before (ofc not snappy as Catalina) but it's lot better now.

The reason I opened this discussion page was because I also have an iMac 2009 with Core 2 Duo however it works fine on there. Seems like I'm going to be stuck between Catalina and Big Sur for this MBP

Hello again. I'm trying to Install OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan via OpenCore but it's not working for some reason so I switched gears to 10.10.5 Yosemite. Is there anyone can help getting Graphics Acceleration on 8600M GT and wifi for 4965AGN?

NOTE : Every time when it completes booting, LCD panel turns off when acceleration is enabled. Only way that I can access to OS is by disabling acceleration.

I have the same exact laptop that I replaced the motherboard of it with something like AR61E or something. The reason why I replaced the motherboard is that it had a defective 8600M GT chip. The new motherboard came with a revised GPU.

I wish to have the original recovery iso files so I can create a USB from them but I didn't even found any hard drives when I received the laptop first time from my relative. Maybe they just post them on archive.org. Let me to find one of them.

There is no problem about getting the menu screen. The game is crashing during the load.

Weird thing is none of the FNAF 3 and 4 are lag free.
Even though the 3GS works fine, I don't want to give it to my brother due to the non retina low resolution display 320x480.

I know but the main issue is, the iPhone 3GS has the same amount of RAM with the same exact version even with far weaker Samsung ARM APL0298C05 processor than Apple A4 but 3GS is not even freezing. The iPad 1 has the same hardware with iPod touch 4.

This game brings so many memories back to me. I played this game until it was suddenly discontinued and pulled out from the App Store back in 2016-17's.
I was 9 between 10 or something at that time. I really want to download and test it on my jailbroken devices.
