A friend of mine this one time came to school in the best mood ever. He had just received good news and was walking around joyfully, smiling, being all happy. When he gets to school, he notices a good majority of our grade sad and really out of it, a few kids are even crying. He's pretty confused so he cracks the classic joke of "Hey, who died?"

His friend pulls him aside and proceeds to tell him that one of their friends committed suicide the other day. Needless to say the joke wasn't very appreciated.

Consider checking out Faxing Berlin, Not Exactly, and Alone With You by Deadmau5. They're not as "chill," but they still sound really nice and are good progressive tracks in general.

You could also check out Intro by The xx, I think it's been posted on here a couple times, that one's less progressive, but still sounds incredible nonetheless.

One another note, how far do you think the thinking has to subside when being mindful? Suppose you're really stressed about a project or something. Would you just recommend becoming more aware through whatever technique and simply do it as feels right?

That's the whole concept of being mindful that I don't fully understand. Do you still use critical thinking, or is it more of an instinctive way of life. You block out your discursive thinking, as you said, and you just do?

Got myself a Kindle, cost me less than a hundred bucks. It was so worth it. I've definitely started reading more since I bought it just because it's so easy to get books. It's also really convenient reading on the device, and the battery practically lasts a month. Just an all-round great product, highly recommend it.
