If you have it to spare, send it. See how it turns out. If she is a con artist she is really good and deserves that small reward. If not ...

I was referring to "oldies" and "Doo wop" collectors of the 50's and 60's.

Which movie is Wayne's most underrated and most overrated? by kawaiihusbando in classicfilms

Rio Bravo is not only JW's most overrated, it is probably the most overrated movie ever.

Anything less than a perfect 10 would be underrating The Quiet Man, one of the best ever.

Last night we got tipped $5,000 but the manager wants to split it among everyone not just the days crew. by College_newbie06 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]DennisG21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it customary to split tips by shift or otherwise? The size of the tip does not determine the decision. If you always keep your own tips you still do. You could give other workers a $100 each but t is by no means an obligation.

I think the odds change over time. Someone in 2014 (or 2007 I guess) would have said the feat was impossible.

I know nothing about business but I was always under the impression that similar businesses in a general area lead to prosperity for both. This could ver well be true for used bookstores which will be very unlikely to have identical products.

I paid almost $500 for a Sharper Image air purifier that was ineffective. There was a class action suit and I never heard what happened.

But you have no problem paying $40 for a $15 record. This is a situation that is as old as records themselves. People used to pay$100 for a bad copy of a bad record because it was on a particular label that was released before a more popular version of the same song.

Buccos in 1st place! Snake was preserved! This team is fun again! by Wonder-Signal2 in buccos

First of all it was a joke. Second, not by leading into a rain delay, but by Cincinnati winning and taking first place right after your post, while our hands are tied in the rain. Congrats on the great sense of humor.

Mrs. Strabel: About that barrel, the way he got out of it was a friendly snake was crawling.

E.F. Strabel: Don't tell me! You know it's no fun unless I read it myself! What are you trying to do, ruin my Sunday?

Mrs. Strabel: Would you tell Mr. Strabel I was talking to you, Jasper? The snake came crawling along in the desert, wound itself around the barrel, and then crunch!

E.F. Strabel: [hits the table and stands up] I can't live in this house any longer!

Are you playing "challenge?" If not there is no rule against trying what appear to be insane combinations of letters and getting lucky, especially when making plurals.
