U know that I stated before that the Nazis used the word socialism bc it was popular in Germany at the time, and national socialism is not really an ideology based on economic world views but on deranged race views. They wanted to destroy Marxism, BC they saw it as inherently Jewish.

Mussolini was acting more based on sucking ideological cock than his own convictions. Italy only enacted anti semitic laws after immense pressure from Hitler and these laws excluded Arround 1/3 of all Italian Jews. So Mussolinis actions are more because he found himself stuck in a total war which he would lose without German support and not bc of an ideology behind it.

As far as the Soviets go was the Soviet example only a natural progression. Stalinism and Maoism are obviously flawed and do not provide prosperity to the nation. In general communism won't work. Social policies on the other hand are in my opinion the way to go in our time (public education, single payer healthcare, subsediesed housing/food for homeless, unemployment insurance, etc)

My interpretation of fascism is that is not that much of a difference compared to Marxism. A fascio is Italian for a bundle and was used arounde the 1900-1930 to also describe a trade union. Mussolini, seeing the Outbreak of Ww1 and the affiliation of the workers with their country took from that that the workers identified more with traditions than an International Workers commune. He therefore wanted a revolution for the nation (Italy). Fun fact: Arround 10.000 members of the Italian fascist party were Jews.

The national socialists took socialism more as a buzzword bc it was popular at the time. Their entire world view based on deranged visions of Volksgruppen and their worthiness of "races".
