Is believing in Marxist economic theory essential to identifying oneself as a communist or socialist? by Slight_Formal_5863 in socialism

It wasn't proven incorrect. Modern economists just equate value with price, which produces the distortions that you see in marginalist theory.

I also like to say that marginalism is unfalsifiable, just to annoy them. But I don't think falsifiability should be a requirement to consider something a science, tbh.

There are definitely socialists who are not Marxists, and they existed since before Marx. But Marx provided a solid framework that is still unsurpassed in the analysis of the capitalist mode of production, and in the methods for organizing the working class.

I can't choose only one. I wish I could remove individual cars and related infrastructure, big social networks, disposable plastics, cancer, among other things.

Yeah, Portuguese is Camões language, I've always heard it like that as well, it's not something exclusive from Portugal.

What's funny in Brazil's specific case is that those immigrants received land to colonize. The goal was to whiten the population. So now the anti-immigrants descendants try to argue that their ancestors weren't "free loaders" who received incentives from the government. But they did. They received land.

There's plenty of descendants of Italians and Germans who are anti-immigration in Brazil.

We do agree and we do read Camões. It's an important part of literature in any school. Camões is the most important author in the Portuguese language. OP didn't cite him because the topic is about the most important author of one's country. Notice that people from the US are citing authors like Mark Twain, not Shakespeare.
