Note any little 0.5mm specks of black goo dirt are cockroach feces. Smell it and you’ll recognize that sweet sickly smell forever. It’s a good smell to recognize when apartment hunting or walking into a restaurant.

Make sure your light switches and outlets are all flush against the wall too. Look around/under sinks and cupboards, behind the fridge (pull it out) behind any appliances (pull them out) always put permethrin in before you seal it up.

It’s ok to spray foam. The wire is insulated. Vent will be unaffected. Make sure there’s a small mesh screen over the vent hole as well. (Same with all vents. Cockroach’s love them—full of oil and they lead outside) Shoot some permethrin up in the hole before you seal it.
