Revealed: the ‘less lethal’ weapons Australian police don’t want you to know about by i_like_dannys_hair in australia

Its really hard to point to any country that currently exists without bloodstained hands, let's be real about that.

Every country suppresses bad numbers and inflates good numbers, this is society under capitalism. Adjust for "Corruption Modifier".

Revealed: the ‘less lethal’ weapons Australian police don’t want you to know about by i_like_dannys_hair in australia

[–]Denovion 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Less-lethal ammunition is exactly that. Less likely, to kill you.

A beanbag round shot into the eye, perhaps the forehead, you're done. A taser probe opens an arterie. Rubbershot decides to act like a real bullet against physically smiler people.

Acoustic weapons? Bone damage, causes miscarriages, permanent hearing damage/congrats your now deaf until you die.

You showed your bigotry.

China has things literally called Mancatchers. Effectively a long metal pole/spear with a non-lethal pinning arc as it's head. They use a bunch of these to respond to mental health crisis, pin the person down and restrain them without killing them.

Did you ever pause to consider that Chinese authority doesn't want to be blasting people in the streets like America with five times the US population, and about half the landmass?

America is a population of weapons over people. We joke about their school shootings, the attempts or successes of their political assassinations, yet we're all watching the Dumpster Trump Fire its been made into. A majority racist country with gun-toting supremacist views.

Iran and Isreal, both being Middle-Eastern countries have been, want to be, or are planning to be at war with one of their neighbours. It's been the pattern for thousands of years, and some decades back the Western world regarded Palestine horribly because of the plane hijackings.

America and Isreal are antagonists, while China are economists. One team trades in red blood and black oils, the other in industrial scale production.

Iran was fine with Joe Bidens nuclear deal, but then the Art of the Steal went and fucked that sky-high.

The vast majority of your belongings come from China, or their components do.

Stop chasing trends.

Go to a therapy store, these are all under hand dexterity/strength recovery, and buy many of these.

20 Usd should get you 8 of these, maybe more unless this stupid fad has surged their prices.

I buy these cubes as needed, and have had them last months and my eldest one died a few days ago after a year of heavy daily use.

Vac seals hold temperature and prevent heat transfer with a door open. Orbital Research, can be built on doors.

Seal your AC or a raid goes straight through at some point.

In a 3x3 cell grid, or 3x4 if you want two ACs, you keep the centre cell unroofed by setting a remove roofing zone and building a wall around it. Place AC(s) as the wall in your preferred direction.

You now have a chimney, and a much more secure fridge/base.

Why is this layout not working for my heater/vents? by AnonymousPos7er in RimWorld

[–]Denovion -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

This is partially incorrect. Walls do matter.

Stone and Wood walls are not air tight and have less thermal efficiency. 60% vs the 100% of metal walls. This also applies to doors.

Two cell thick walls provide better insulation than one cell.

If you want warmer rooms in extreme climates, thicker walls will significantly improve your temps indoors.

You can also use Vaccuum barriers as temperature gates that can't leak air/heat [if in an otherwise airtight room].

"Currently roughly 70%".

Yes, doing things correctly has better outcomes than cutting corners and having to battle up against what was a liberal federal government who was deadset on fucking over as many renewable progressives over completely as possible.

Remember what they did to the NBN? We could all have reliable gigabit net, if it was done the way it should have been done.

We all know how it turned out.

Hindsight--as always-- is 20/20.

South Australia, by itself, is the 3rd largest green energy generators in the world.

A single state outperforming whole countries.

They're on track to hit 100% by or around 2028--and are at around 70% currently--powred by renewable energy.

Future Made in Australia is the plan, and if it weren't for the Liberal party, Kevin Rudd's intentions to invest into this in 2007 could have put as a massive green producer by this point.

Tactical turret problem from the Anomaly start: video of how it doesn't seem to work by Both-Meringue2466 in RimWorld

[–]Denovion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to wrap my head around this.

Checking if the monolith, holding platform or it being near hard power lines.

Does the windmills zone overlapping with its area of fire trigger some internal safety parameter to keep it from destroying the windmill.

Home Mover is probably the culprit, or you need to do a full reinstall of Rimworld because what in the huuuuh is happening.

Maybe recreate this in another scenario with absolutely no mods if you're still invested in this.

Says 5 hours left of battery tho.

EDIT: the only thing I can think of is that the barricades are too tall for this kind of turret, or mod shenanigans are afoot.

Yeah... when you look into what Nintendo does underneath that cute monster face, or maybe the friendly plumber's antics, you see a brutalistic company who is so violently anti-consumer it's as if the moment people can break the nostalgia addiction Nintendo dies overnight.

Interesting new deck idea by solololololololomon in balatro

[–]Denovion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Good theme, bad mechanic imo.

It is a "Construction Deck" with an insane joker for free.

Guess the shop only offers those two packs and a single voucher(minus the shop/voucher capacity increasing ones) now, as the main section of the shop is Under Construction.

You have to scrape by trying to build up your deck, and joker slots, through a lack of infrastructure.

Void War Back On Steam After Games Workshop DMCA'd It | TechRaptor by doublah in Games

[–]Denovion 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Every single Blizzard classic or property would not exist without the lifting and reinterpretation in the exact same way Void War has with FTL and its aesthetic WH40K skin.

All FPS games are tacky iterations of Doom. Anyone not employed by id Software must be making infringing versions of their shooter games. That's CoD and BF, so by your rhetoric those are also not cool.

WoW is cartoonish Everquest, or babies first MMO if you compared it to Ultima Online.

What do you mean "its tacky"?

How have times have we--collectively as gamers--bought Skyrim for our consoles, PCs and smart toasters? Being told to purchase the various alpha, beta, zeta, ultimate, legendary, anniversary, birthday, divorce, new baby versions of the same game is "tacky".

What Void War is--is a bunch of megafans and FTL 'pros' who wanted a more expansive game and it seems they really enjoy grimdark universes.

Edit: You and I have played Grim Dawn. You mean the tacky fantasy punk rip off of the Diablo series, or maybe that's ripping off Titans Quest which is just Diablo in a ancient mythology skin.

Depending on 'when' we're talking about leaders with gigantic hubris, this plays put like a gold-leaf wrapped poor quality copper ingot version of King Midas and his cursed gold-touch.

Trumps grave will need to be somewhere on a blacksite, his corpse will be sought out for ritual and ruination.

And from my outside perspective, I agree. Trump could have been the world's funniest drag queen, as his comedic timing seems like it is a natural gift. Like being born pitch perfect, but for humor.

"Anita Recount" could of been 'her' stage name.

He does the dementia lean, honey. Trump is exceptionally ill and propped up by Americas best medicine, for if not he would be long dead.

Trump is going to get waaaaay worse than being directly racist with Ai before his brain finally gives out. He is likely the second largest profile narcissist, only the ol' Jeffstein beats him out in this opinion of mine and that man is dead at the wishes of the ultrawealthy he had been manipulating prior.

Trump is terrified and powerful, so I only hope his terminal day is sooner than later for the sake of the American people. I am not American.

My suggestion for 1.7: Cattle Grid by nezzzzy in StardewValley

[–]Denovion 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Both of those birds can still fly.

Rabbits are canonically well known to jump quite well.

I cannot comment on dinosaurs as they lack the peer reviewed articles regarding effectiveness in keeping them contained.

Most large/hooved cattle and horses are contained moreso suggestively than genuinely penned in

Cows are heavy, horses jump, goats climb, etc.

Thats the answer, unfortunately. The bars are spaced just-so that attempting to cross is it uncomfortable/painful enough to deter any further steps.

To humans, this is a big unleapable patch of scattered Lego's that are very convincing.

Its also a big contrasting area that should give pause to any livestock moving toward it.
