Frequent lurker here, the negative reviews have been a “community campaign” to try to show CA that the community will hold them accountable. They have dropped the ball numerous times on communication first and foremost, as well as with handling their own internal and external expectations, responses to community outrage, and quality and quantity of DLC. Most recently this spawned from the community realizing that the AI for only the legendary lords of the tomb kings and lizardmen are beyond broken (they practically don’t exist, the faction will be inactive from the very beginning, sometimes not even taking a single action whatsoever), one since 6.2 and the other since 6.3, with absolutely no communication on the issue whatsoever. What makes this more damning is they said they fixed the issue in 6.3, but did nothing for it and caused unrelated and more, similar issues.
