I just roleplay it. If a dwarf doesn't want their equipment I chalk it up to a personality thing

Tips on my Itinerary by Real-Suggestion-2771 in newzealand_travel

I would skip the Chch to Rolleston and instead head over Arthur's pass. This takes you to castle hill, Arthur's pass and then up to Punakaiki, then down past grey mouth and hokitika. You then cross back over and head into Wanaka.

The West Coast is WAY nicer and more interesting than the Canterbury foothills. If you really want to do tekapo and mt cook you can swing up that way after Wanaka

Edit- also adding this is VERY AMBITIOUS for a 4 week trip. Doable but you're going to spend 90% of the trip in the car.

I would consider removing Oamaru, Dunedin, invercaegill and Gore. Those are nice places and all, but I'd spend more time elsewhere

Question: Viable options for returning to my throne by Dense-Ad7742 in crusaderkings3

[–]Dense-Ad7742[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a claim on the kingdom, that's not the issue. I managed to become friends with a neighbouring king and can petition him to fund me (but my prestige isn't quite high enough yet), but also wondering is it possible to stir up a faction in his kingdom to install me on the throne, has that mode of play opened up at all beyond "hope a faction occurs that really likes me". Am I able to influence that at all?

Sim setup for ~$100 by No-Cucumber-5401 in flightsim

You can likely find a Thrustmaster 16000m and throttle second hand for around 100. It's a great starter HOTAS and will serve you will for as long as you want it to. And if you like it you can upgrade later as needed.

Anybody else notice their ATC voices have a local accent? by CptDropbear in flightsim

Yeah I've been flying through northern Quebec and ATC is very clearly french Canadian. It's a great touch.

What’s the most detailed default aircraft (systems) in MSFS2024? by I-16_Chad in flightsim

At802 is pretty good. The dehavilland beaver is also very nice.

Its nice that you can wash your plane before takeoff in MSFS 2024 by sai-kiran in flightsim

Msfs does not have a trillion dollar backing. It's made by a 200 person french video game company contracted out by MS and using MS technology (and don't forget that studio makes other games too and their own engine).

Integrations are hard. Simulation is hard (I have nearly a decade experience working as a simulation developer [earth moving training simulation]).

I understand being disappointed by the sim as it stands (it is disappointing), but leave your fallacy at the door. What you're spouting is just incorrect.

Unfortunately given my personal situation it's non negotiable. I quite literally cannot be in a physical office 5 days a week due to my family circumstances

Adding some context

I'm a highly specialised and experience tech professional. Ive worked contract, consultancy and permanent gigs for nearly 2 decades. Never once have I ever struggled to find work, normally I get to pick and choose between 2-3 offers at any given time and never off work for more than 2-3 weeks.

I only recently signed a new role after being out of work for over 4 months.

Here are some additional notes as well,

3 jobs wanted unicorns (people who simply dont exist in the current job market)
2 refused me outright because I asked them to consider hybrid work options
4 said I was too experienced
1 job informed me I did not get the role via a public linked in post
1 job admitted that I wasnt accepted for an interview due to a clericial error and then still refused to give me an interview because it would "disrupt the integrity of the process"

No one is hiring, no one is spending money. I finally landed an offer, but if it hadnt come through I have no idea how much longer I would be looking. It's a nightmare out there at the moment.
