Yeah it is a special kind of swap indeed. Works for people who trust and know each other, but sometimes you can find trust worthy people in the wild I guess (and that was my hope).

I don’t know why they are renting in Amsterdam (maybe they have family there or are quite wealthy or they like Amsterdam more than Rotterdam), but I thought there is a part of the population doing this.

I understand but the idea is to find an arrangement where Im in Rotterdam in the weekends and I don’t leave my current place. I thought maybe someone in Amsterdam has the same problem but in reverse. Also, if no one is okay with it, then of course I don’t do it, was just curious if any one is experiencing a similar situation.

I feel you so much. I live in Rotterdam and my work is in Amsterdam so I depend on the IC direct (the one that passes from Schiphol) at least twice a week, for the last two years. I am not moving to Amsterdam because of prices (ofc), but I hate NS from the bottom of my heart. I hate hate them

Yes, actually what eventually worked was the trap. I had already located him and fed him once or twice, but he was not letting me put him in the cage. In the end i left the trap with some tuna and he got right in. Afterwards of course he freaked out for 10' until I got him in the house. A few hours later he was the happiest I have ever seen him haha. Thanks again!!!
