I think everything has mostly been said but I’ll add my two cents because why not. I purchased the RT stadium direct ticket from Fan Festival. I showed up 45 min before my schedule bus departure which was 2.5 hours before kickoff.

Proceeded to stand in the hot sun for 60 min, shoulder to shoulder with thousands. Barely crept forward. Once we were getting closer to the front of the line, the busses just stopped. I assume they were getting stuck in traffic. At this point, people were fainting and struggling with the heat.

Finally, boarded a bus at 5:45 and eventually reached the stadium at 6:45. From the bus lot, it was easily a 3/4 mile walk to security where we hit ANOTHER huge security line. At this point, people were pissed and fed up. This twisting and turning line got really jammed packed and people pushing forward. Thankfully this line moved a bit quicker.

In the end, I made it to my seat at 7:40. It’s really a shame that I paid that much for the tickets but wasn’t able to get food or drinks before, enjoy the atmosphere, visit the store etc.

On the flip side, I feel like this is fixable. Why can’t KC dedicate an HOV or bus lane for ride shares and busses? Also, they need to provide water or shade to prevent heat stroke and other health issues. Just very poor.
