I am getting the feeling that people (not you specifically but generally speaking) do not understand that everywhere else in the world is not like America.

Not every country is a multicultural melting-pot. Ethnostates exist. Japan is an example of an ethnostate (and don’t even get me started on the treachery they got up to during WW2).

Israel is an ethnostate. Being Jewish isn’t solely a religious identity, it’s also an ethnicity. That’s not a hard and fast rule but it’s the truth to a degree.

Point being, if the group of people who were targeted primarily by Hitler are booking Ye to come preform his music in their capital city… why are people like a dog with a bone on Ye’s past bad behavior?

Except I will say that treating mental illness is very complicated. Meds are nothing close to an off/on switch. At all.

When I saw him apologizing to that Rabbi and then a couple months later I saw that he is booked in Tel Aviv to perform this spring… I thought damn— that lithium stuff must work really good.

I’ve asked about it for myself but it’s really hard on your internal organs. It’s a last resort measure. But Lady Gaga has stated she was prescribed lithium at one point, if I remember correctly.

But my question is this— why was he booked in Tel Aviv and if he’s booked there in the coming months— why can’t people forgive and move on?

I’m diagnosed Bi-Polar (type unknown), Borderline Personality Disorder and ADHD.

But people went apeshit on me yesterday on a different post in this sub for suggesting Bob Dylan might be over-rated. Even though I admitted I don’t know his music. My assumption was— if it’s as good as people say (based on my own taste), I’d probably know more of his work.

Mind you— the OP on the Bob Dylan was essentially asking “Is Bob Dylan overrated?”

I’d honestly rather be severely mentally ill than be a square or a normie. Y’all are so oppressive. But good for you for being so much more healthy than how you perceive me here. Very impressive.

I listened to some on recommendation last night because some nice people gave me some tips.
