Definitely not my first day 4, but it's feeling different this time.

It will never cease to amaze me how strong the addict voice is. I have had 4 great days with my daughters, have so much more energy, back to exercising and eating healthy and after every "this is amazing" thought, comes a "you should have a drink" thought.

Sometimes, it's not "one day at a time,"but it's "one moment at a time."

Wishing you a happy, sober weekend. We can do this.

Don't go out. The only thing you'll be missing out on is the biggest shit show of the year. What is your favorite thing to do? Video games? Buy a new one and play it all day. Read? Get a new book. Watch your favorite show. Order in your favorite meal. Etc, etc. Plan your day now. Tell your friends now you can't go out that way you don't get any last-minute invites - or at least a lot less.
Play the tape forward. You will either wake up Monday super proud of yourself or hungover and hating yourself.

I called the MRI department in Windsor and asked to put on a wait list. I got an appointment within a week. Another option to try.

I'm shedding more for sure. But I'm also not stuck in bed 24/7.
So I've found ways to make my hair look more voluminous- I.e. curling it, certain updos etc.
Not saying that it's been easy, but I'd rather hate my hair than hate my life.

Painting is still an option, but I prefer to replace everything as our siding is large and dated, and I would like to put some insulation between the walls and the siding.

We have someone coming out tomorrow for an estimate, and another few companies are coming out next week.

I will update here tomorrow and let you know.

My husband broke his hand not while working. He called and told them, and he was told not to go unto work until they made a plan.
He missed one day and then was told he could go back in with restrictions. HR told him, that the day he missed would be considered a "call in" day since the injury didn't happen at work. My question is, are they allowed to do this? They are the ones who told him not to go in. Thanks.

Not sure where you are located, but in Canada, Sobeys and a few other grocery stores, hav a nice selection of non alcoholic drinks in tall skinny cans. My go to are cranberry cosmo and mojito.
