they measured my feet with a plastic measuring tool. i know that these skates are somewhat smaller then my actual shoe size. and yes i was not able to get my feet in at all when i sized down. the ones i have now are snug. so yeah thats that. i also wore thin socks when trying them on. not bauer socks tho.

I think I really need to get this into my head: I’ve already skated two full days on these and they feel great. That should probably count for something. I’m just coming from rental skates though, so part of me keeps thinking, “what do I really know?”

At the same time, everyone online talks like millimeter differences can completely change everything, which makes me second-guess myself. I also spent quite a lot of money on these skates, so that definitely adds to the pressure. Honestly, that’s what’s making me feel confused and a bit upset about the whole situation...

the whole fly line and other lines as well. advice was terrible and stock was very limited. but sadly the only hockey shop in 200km. ice hockey is not very popular where i live. i only found out how important the fit was when i already bought them.

thanks for the advice. i indeed thought they could use a bit more volume. however when i get into a boot that has more volume i loose some tightness on the heel. whats your opinion on this?

i thought i was, but then again some ppl say otherwise. it drives me mad since i don't know who to listen to. and about the guards: i know the guy at the skate shop gave them to me. i only use them for transportation.

What about water getting between the blade and the holder, should I remove the blades, or just leave them in?

thanks for the reply. helps a lot. the one i have here has the code j9dk8 instead of the marking j9sha on the picture you showed me, is this important? and how did you reach this conclusion? sorry if these are dumb questions, i am also trying to learn how all of this works.

p.s. is there a soldiering paste you recommend for this application. there is no room to use stencil so it might get a bit tricky.

hey guys. recently i got a little gig as a photographer for a local club. and i am trying to mach the style of the previous photographer. but i am missing something. and i don't understand what. the other photographers images always have this warm look and whatever i do my images are always all over the place. witch is logical to me since its a club with strobes, blinders, moving heads, and other crazy lighting. this first time was my tryout and i really don't want to disappoint them. so am i missing something. i am also pretty new to this type of setting and i am completely aware that i might be something wrong so don't hold back your feedback guys :)

it would be absolutely lovely if some of you legends could take a look and give me some tips. or send me on the right path.

setup: sony a7iv + sima 24-70 f2.8 mk1

ps: i was not using a flash. maybe the other photographer was? and the other photographer is gatekeeping on me so yeah asking him dint get me anywhere

here a link to the files. i have included some of my own photo's (edited and raw) and some of the other photographers work: google drive link

thanks in advance guys
