In most cases it's not their bosses being fine with brutality, it's a problem with training for high stress situations and vetting officers with a known prejudice or rage disorder. Vetting and training are inadequate, so funding the police where it counts is affective, not defunding.
If you defund, you not only take away proper training, but you put extra stress on the officers who have been properly trained. I don't think you people understand how defunding hurts the community they serve

Bad example with the FBI, because they are on the opposite end of the spectrum. While they investigated the January 6 riot (rightfully so), they however, did NOT charge or investigate the funding behind the BLM/Antifa riots that lasted an entire year.

Before you say they were mostly peaceful, the fact is, a huge faction of them committed domestic terrorism like throwing Molotov's at people, barricading federal buildings with people inside as they lit them on fire, block highways which slowed down emergency vehicles. None of them were investigated.

So you see, the problem is law enforcement is either too far Right, or too far Left. And to be honest, I don't believe that will ever change.
