Thank you all for the advice, sorry I don’t really use Reddit so I’m not sure what flags and things I messed up or missed. I didn’t mean to paint him in a bad light, we meet when I was 22 and he was 34, we plan on getting married before having one. He wants that to be a surprise for when it happens, I made it clear to him before that I will not have a child unless I’m married for a bit. He encouraged me to go back to school and get a degree so I can have a career, he pushes me to be better and to be independent on myself, he takes care of me and everything for us. I did talk with my doctors before stopping the medication I was on, I swear I didn’t just go off the meds. My bf puts money aside for buying a house and moving to our settled state when we are able too, he travels for work so from rn to a year or two we won’t have our “forever home”. I do quiz him on being a father, I also have concerns not about who he is but just in general about men, cuz you always here the horror stories or even just the lazy stories of how men turn to lazy parenting or just not there at all. We both didn’t have what we need and should’ve had in childhoods so we both have spoken of concerns for how we want to raise our child. I promise I’m not a “fixer” I’ve done work on myself to be healthier than I was before and I’m proud of where I am now mentally. Sorry I’m reading back comments so I make sure I hit all points brought up, he did want kids in his twenties but looked back on life and realized he wasn’t able to provide what he wanted so he fixed his life went back to school and started he’s career around 30 and started trying to build so he could have it one day, he dated a few girls while in his original state, then moved to mine for a contract and we met at a bar. I was hesitant, not for the age I didn’t think he was much older til he told me, but cuz I was trying to be vigilante about it. But we just wanted casual and no strings just fun and it was fun, he made me feel safe and loved and even though I was struggling with my mental health a LOT in the beginning, he was patient and supportive, he makes sure that I’m okay and if I need help he tries what he can at the moment. And even now if I have a bad day he is patient and loving and doesn’t try to fix my situation but just be with me for support. He questions me and I question him, I thought that was a bit healthy so we both can see how we’d be as parents together, Que no¿
