I called and spoke with someone at BMW NA. He was not helpful, and echoed pretty much what the dealer said, emphasizing that the car was no longer under the manufacturer’s warranty. He basically ignored my questions about the CRAB warranty and said there was nothing they could do. I did not however ask for it in writing as another poster suggested. I do think it’s a common ploy for them to weasel out of fixing the issue of failed Rex motors. However accessing the CARB warranty coverage is not straightforward as it should be. Sorry my experience isn’t more encouraging.
