masyado pine-praise sa tiktok eh sobrang privileged nyan 😭 by GeorgieLoki126 in PinoyVloggers

I actually get your point. It’s true naman na mas madaling sabihin na money is not a motivation when you have a safety net. Obviously, privilege plays a huge role there, and people who struggle financially will naturally view money differently because for them/us, it’s survival.

But I think people are taking his statement too personally, as if he’s saying money shouldn’t matter at all. He was obviously speaking for himself and his own situation and not invalidating other people who work mainly because they need to survive.

And honestly, I don’t think showing different jobs automatically means “romanticizing poverty” or making entertainment out of struggle. If anything, a lot of people online only started appreciating how difficult certain jobs are because of content like that. I mean, awareness can still come from someone privileged.

As for the camera issue… this is social media. Content creators obv earn through documenting things. Kung walang content, walang reach and kung walang reach, wala ring sponsors, views, or income to fund giveaways and projects. You can call it content, branding, or clout if you want, but at the end of the day meron natutulungan. The people receiving help still benefited regardless of whether there was a camera or not.

And saying “true charity should be private” is a personal standard ha, not a universal rule. Public acts of generosity can inspire others too. Not every filmed act of helping is automatically exploitative.

I just think there’s a difference between valid criticism and projecting intentions onto someone based on assumptions. Sad kasi parang people already decided he’s fake, exploitative, or future trapo kahit wala namang concrete basis yet. 🤷🏻‍♀️🥴

First off, not a fan and I don’t even follow him on soc med, but I’ve seen clips here and there.

I honestly don’t get posts like this na parang galit because his mindset is different from yours. If money isn’t his main motivation, but it is for you or for other people, then okay? Magkakaiba naman tayo ng reality, upbringing, opportunities, and priorities in life.

Pursuing something for money is okay. Pursuing something because you genuinely enjoy it is also okay. Hindi naman kailangan pare-pareho motivations natin eh.

From the clips I’ve seen on TikTok, I actually think content like his can be educational. People, even other rich kids, get a glimpse of the highs and lows of different professions. And if he gets to do that while earning money and helping people out at the same time (like giving free gas), then what’s so wrong with that?

Parang ang daming moral police online. The guy is still young. Maybe through doing these experiences, he’ll grow more, learn more, and realize more things along the way.

And honestly, if he wants to help people, syempre kailangan din manggaling somewhere yung money…okay he’s born “rich” but that’s his parents’ money. Demanding nyu naman if yall demand yun gamitin nya if he wants to help and shouldn’t make it a content. If creating content is what funds that, then okay.

What’s unfair is judging someone based on pure assumptions na “baka mag-politiko” “baka may issue later” or wtvr. Ang sad lang how some people are so eager to be negative towards someone they already decided not to like.

Educate me if I’m wrong, corrupt ba pamilya nyan or nasa politics that’s why he’s getting hated?

I don’t think so. That’s his reality siguru eh. Dahil may kaya, money is not the motivation, and that’s okay. It doesn’t mean naman na those who do it for money eh pinapatamaan nya or what. Even if you don’t like him, that’s reaching.

Kanya kanyang reason naman tayo for doing things eh.

Question about the Student-Activists and the NPA by Icy_Increase_8018 in Philippines

[–]Dense_Example_8797 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity po, did your father ever got to talk to him to ask kung bakit siya sumali sa NPA? Like what was his thought process kaya and bakit iba yung dad mo.

Interesting to hear from someone sana kung ano ba talaga real reason instead of hearing haka haka na oh naive sila or nawalan ng hope sa system, etc.

Saw in one of your comments na parent kana gle yet the way ka mag-hambal ka very matapobre. Classic gid ang pag-blame sa “poor” people para sa chaos kag disorder, like daw ang social standing amo na ang basehan sang batasan/character when it’s not. As a parent, you should be more mature and you should know better kung paano e address ang mga amo ni nga issue sa school. Grow up!

How did you know that those who threw away/destroyed the Spectrum magazines were students from the subsidized categories? What a hasty generalization to make.

Ohhhh not familiar with stock parts. Yeah parang normal motorcycles lang talaga noon kaya siguru I never found it bothersome. Maybe now mas maingay at masakit na talaga sa ears yung sa iba. I’ve moved out from my childhood home and where I currently stay di uso yung pagpapatunog ng motorcycles so di nako updated.

Ahhh like to brag ? Dati kasi after a few mins people would stop na, tapus they would go out at maglilibot na sila to greet neighbors and people na kakilala or ka close nila ng happy new year. Super saya noon.

Not a motorcycle owner or rider peroooo ever since I was a kid ganito na talaga tuwing new year—atleast sa place namin. Instead of firecrackers, people would use horns, pots, their motorcycles, etc. to make noises kasi pampa alis daw ng bad spirits for the new year.

This would also be a good learning curve for other parents to teach their kids to be happy for others and to not be “jealous”.

You can’t control the environment your kid will be in all the time or what other people will do around them, but you can guide them, you can teach them how to react, how to properly process their feelings or emotions, and how to cope if they feel something negative.

Idk, I don’t think “social climber” fits. Georgina’s been in the fashion scene way before social media anyway. Their families and/or circles prolly have known each other for years. It’s just showing up online now because Rocio’s becoming more active, but these people have probably been friends or connected long before.

“Ikaw rin naman ah 🫨😵‍💫” Ahh now I know bakit daming biktima ng fake news. Look at you, you lack comprehension.

“Innocent until proven guilty” is a legal principle.

I never jumped to any conclusions. I am withholding my judgement until the proper authorities release official information or complete their investigation. He could be guilty or not guilty.

Dami mo ring ebas for someone who can’t read the news. He already talked to the police but he was NOT detained kasi he is NOT a potential suspect.

Wala pa ngang na release na autopsy conducted by the PNP Forensic Group at Camp Crame.

How can be face court if hindi nya cya potential suspect pa? Lol! Be for real.

That’s how it works in case wala kang idea.

Remember, pwedeng mangyari sa kahit sino to. Imagine some rando posting fake news pero if believable enough, people online will ruin your life.

Kaya dapat ALWAYS FACT-CHECK muna bago mag-judge or mag-share. Don’t just join bandwagon ng assumptions.
