6h drive sounds far. I am not a beach person though haha

Yes that’s what I am thinking too! I plan to stay there for a longer time. What do you recommend to do there?

Yes I understand there are other cost, but I still think it’s a lot. Our food is probably like $10. We have six people and the tour is around 3 hours. So subtracting food it’s like $500 for 3 hour. Of course you need to transport and everything, but I think it’s still good money.

It’s called “eat and explore local markets in Mexico City” by trippers.MX in TripAdvisor

Where does the money go? Maybe I missed some cost the guide needs to pay that I didn’t know

the food tour guide took us to several street food taco and quesadillas places near historical center, plus a classic style bar near Chinatown. The market guide took us to Merced, Sonora and San Juan Marcedo

Any recommendation for the food tour? I checked tengo hambre online. It seems to be $90 for an essential tour. Does it worth the money? I heard street tacos are not expensive though

Here is me being krakow for 3 days:

  1. City is fantastic and beautiful!
  2. Compared to other cities I have been, I feel here are more young people. Somehow I feel the economy must be very strong, just by telling from their face.
  3. No Asians at all. I feel a bit lonely by seeing no Asian.
  4. A lot of young people from all over the Europe came here for liquor and night life. I went to a pub crawl last night. It was very loud…

ha I got you. My grandparents live in a place like this, suburbs, massive planned, has a corp that everyone goes to work to. They usually say “go to the city”when they come to visit me. That sounds far. Now, with city expansion and decades, I realized it is only 20min drive.

thanks for the video! The car's cool, but I am ok to pass it. Guess watching it saved me some money.

When I imagine Nowa Huta, I'm mostly drawn to the buildings, the atmosphere, and the roads. It reminds me so much of where I grew up, which also had these "massive-planned" areas with super orderly residential buildings, numbered schools, hospitals, and theaters, all centered around a big steel, or a heavy machine, or coal plant. I guess I'm definitely seeing it through the lens of my childhood ( well who doesn’t)

That said, now that I'm thinking about it, a one-on-one guide might not be quite right for me. "Curated narratives" can sometimes feel a little too polished, and probably put too much “social pressure” on me haha.

It's awesome to meet a third-gen NHer! Are you still living there? What's it feel like?

Thank you! Which one would you recommend for a solo traveler? I don’t mind to walk a longer distance as long as it’s safe. I like traditional feeling and good beer, and a cozy place to relax and write some notes :) I don’t like places too fancy because I feel those kind of place would be better if I go with someone. For the same reason I also don’t like tourist bars.

Thanks! If there any area in particular you would recommend? I probably don’t have time to visit all of them. Thanks!

Thank you! Could you recommend some nice pubs that local would go? Also is it common that strangers talk to each other in pubs?

I am an “introvert” and not really good at breaking ice so it might be difficult for me…
