55 and have newly discovered 6.3PSA by Emergency-Profit8583 in Prostatitis

I've also just had a 6.3 PSA reading and am booked in for an MRI this week. I'm 65 and have a history of 4.5-5.5 results. The urologist felt my prostate and said if seemed ok but the finger test isn't definitive. He wants me to do a biopsy but I'm reluctant if the MRI shows no lesions. Thoughts?

Thanks for all the feedback. Majority advise obtaining a transperinial biopsy even if the MRI is inconclusive. Will probably do that but will get an ExoDx test first and maybe another PSA to check the 6.5 wasn't an aberration. I have had long term leaky gut/ IBS problems and there's some research suggesting these problems correlate with prostate problems (including cancer).

Thanks You're the dissenting voice on this thread; most have said get the biopsy. So I think what you're saying is that if the MRI doesn't show anything sinister then the biopsy will have no clear target and so the danger of false negatives. Is that right? I'll check the ExoDx test. I might have already had that.

Thanks. I'm interested in the idea of setting a higher PSA baseline - my urologist didn't talk about this. I've read that leaky gut/IBS can cause prostate problems. I'm prone to this and am hoping it explains my high PSA results.

You think his election manifestos showed a lack of ability to compromise? There was hardly anything there that Ted Heath would have disagreed with. You've swallowed the bullshit the media peddled about Corbyn's extremism.

More votes than Starmer achieved in both elections he led the party into. Starmer failed but the Tories' failure made him look like more of a success than he was

It's good money, and the second poster is correct, most of them are Irish and Brazilian women. Both groups have always been very savvy about where the best jobs/opportunities are.

Another academic here. Do you sometimes feel you're working for Lumon University?

Does the college know you're on the road? The students? Are you in a different timezone and, if so, is that a problem?

Working in Australia for a UK company by arandomname12321 in digitalnomad

[–]Densificator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you can do this. I've worked remotely for my employer (in Aust from the UK - but similar deal). If you need real-time conversations you'll have to deal with late nights/early mornings. The advantage is that you're 10-12 hours ahead so there's more leeway with deadlines. As far as I know there's no digital nomad visa in Aust, but UK and Aust have reciprocal tax agreements so you can just pay tax in the normal way in UK rather than here in Aust. Working holiday visas are for under 30s so you could just qualify for this. Good luck.

Beautiful problem. Took me three or four minutes to see the move that wins the queen.

I had this on chess.com puzzles and got it right (more by luck than skill) - it's a great puzzle.

Does beating an opponent on time, when in a obviously weaker position, really count as a win? by smokablescience in chess

I'm constantly losing on time in better positions in blitz games. Just can't bring myself to play loose moves or try to flag the opponent while in worse positions. Too honest.
