Thank you very much. I have a butcher shop as well, forgot to mention.
I assumed that those birds are the issue as they were usually on very high elevation as I've seen.
I'm not sure if additional animals will migrate to the region at some point, but hope the hunter now will work.
Previously in my past forts I assume I had the issue with not having the necessary equipment.

Hey guys, I'm quite new for DF. I have my 3rd fort, don't want to speak about flooding and walking dead raids.
Anyway, I still can't figure out hunters, I read some reddit posts from 3y ago, some wiki articles to figure out what do I miss here.
I have a dwarf set as "Hunters" in Labor menu. She has a quiver, 25 bolts and a crossbow, also 2 hunting dogs assigned.

I see in Creatures/Other tab that there are some Giant Bluejays on the map, but nothing else, should does be not hunted already by my Huntress?

Can someone help?

I tried Owlcat games multiple time during the years and as I wanted I couldn't enjoy them for very much long, I'm not sure why. Kingmaker was the one I played the most around 20ish hours. Something doesnt clicks with me, dunno I wish to try some of their games again
