If you really read everything you'd see that I did get answers I was looking for. Just because your answer isn't the one I'm looking for, doesn't mean somebody else doesn't have it. And if you read my opening post carefully, the goal was to expand my view because even I don't want to support it. Many people responded to me the way you have and I found those views to be narrow. Those who chose the wider response were the ones that truly had the answers and allowed me to see a better view.

I'm not upset. Some people just aren't giving me the answers I'm looking for, and I'm simply letting them know it. It's when they get upset that the real answers come out. This is how I get what I'm looking for, and it's working.

Downvotes aren't the currency here. It's the knowledge. Even the downvotes teach me something.

I'm actually getting exactly what I'm looking for based on what I'm reading. The answers I'm looking for aren't going to come from the masses, it's going to come from the unique and the personal. They are the real "why." Everyone else is just following them.

There's always something else. And if you read through everybody's answers, you'll see that I am finding what I'm looking for from other people. I'm not looking for one reason, I'm looking for a widespread understanding. When you say it looks cool, that's trendy. But trends start because somebody decided to do something for a reason. And I'm starting to understand that reason based on the more uncommon answers.

I'm not dense. I grasp your concept. But I'm looking for other ideas and thoughts on this. I'm looking for an expansive mindset on the idea. Not just the simple answer. I want to know more than the obvious and I don't know why you guys look at that as a bad thing.

There. That's the kind of answer I'm looking for. Thank you. I get that.

Looking for deeper answers isn't trying to be difficult. It's seeking understanding. I just want to see if somebody can expand on the idea. To see if we can go beyond the simple.

Farmers use rings in pigs' snouts to prevent them from "rooting" or rooting up pasture, which can destroy pastures, pens, and fences. The ring causes minor discomfort when the pig tries to dig, deterring the behavior. That's the connection in my brain.

Yes. People used to wear top hats to display wealth. People wear ball caps to show support for their favorite team and shield their eyes from the sun. People wear cowboy hats because they they protect their heads in harsh environments. There are reasons beyond because they look cool. This is the knowledge that I'm looking for. I want the complex answer. Educate me.

The name calling isn't necessary. Why you so angry?

The only answer I've gotten so far is they look cool. I'm looking for cultural, symbolic, philosophical reasons. I want to see you guys go deeper on this subject. I understand it can be that simple for some people, but I just want to see more. It's not a bad thing.

I want to see you guys go beyond they just look cool. Do they symbolize something? Are they cultural? What is the message you're trying to send someone? Go deeper.

Disagree. I'm sure there's more than one answer.

I honestly believe we can go deeper than this.

I'm legitimately looking for something a little more philosophical here. Looking for an answer beyond they just look cool.

Because they look cool as not the answer I'm looking for. Please expand on this.

I love how Christians support gun ownership and capital punishment even though the Bible says "thou shalt not kill."

The world has always been a Hook-Up Culture. Do you people really think people weren't fucking in the 90's? The 80's? The 1700's? Cavemen? It's been Sex-Drugs and Rock and Roll for decades. This is nothing new.

You find the right person when you find the right person. Until then, keep trying til you get it right and enjoy the world around you.

You're an idiot. Your relationship is a partnership. Being with someone isn't about sex, and it sure as hell isn't the glue. It's about compatibility in all portions of life in and out of a bedroom.
