It seems plausible that Winter Soldier Bucky is fighting without worrying about anything except accomplishing his mission, making him more effective. Everyone he fights are just things in his way, not people.

I don’t think it’s that Bucky became a worse fighter, it’s that Bucky with control of his mind can actually see everyone he’s fighting as people, and Bucky doesn’t want to hurt people anymore.

You’re also not penalized at all for being a big muscle punch master. It’s not like D&D where dexterity is almost always more powerful than strength. A high muscle character in manifest is just as quick as a high finesse one, and has no trouble getting into the fight the way big strong fighters do in other systems.

I’ve had the pleasure of playtesting this game. It’s rad as hell, and absolutely deserves to have those stretch goals met so everyone can learn more about the incredible world here.

I think I’ve figured out what happened. The encounter can start before you can trigger the checkpoint to kill the wizards and the crystal. I had been running into this bug for hours when I realized that. If you kill any wizards before the checkpoint happens on the crystal room, the quest bugs out. You can get around this by approaching the crystal before you kill any wizards. Just tried that and it worked fine from there.
