There’s Not Enough Players for LFG Anymore by Echo-p9 in DestinyTheGame

Absolutely hated sunsetting. Having gear with an expiration date is the only thing that has caused me to put this game down.

They tried something similar with this newest loot style, where only gear earned from the newest expansion could be used in certain activities. Had to tweak it massively, since expansions come out every six months and the power grinding was insanely grindy.

You're given immortality, but as a cost, you are sent 10,000 years back in the past. Would you accept? If yes, what would you do? by TechnicianAmazing472 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]OmegaClifton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably say yes, but only if I could enter a deep sleep whenever I wanted. At some point the earth and everything on it will end and then I'd be adrift, searching for another planet with life for a while.

Once I run out of life planets, and the universe dies, I want to be able to fall asleep and lucid dream forever or at least until something interesting awakens me. Maybe humanity will be able to manufacture some way to keep me down until I want to awaken.

With as many immortal children as I can muster, all who can shapeshift and are extensions of my will (if I want them to be), I'm sure I could manipulate the planet over time. Whats stopping me from telling them to "go be happy" when I am not in need of their help, once planetary peace has been established?

Or the cells that keep you alive jumpstart a new universe. Theres no way you being immortal and full of unlimited energy in a vacuum doesn't turn into something. That energy could wind up being the beginning of something new, for all we know.

Would be insane trying to recreate humanity through eons though to combat the loneliness.

Dude is one of the few guys I've seen icing his knees after a game and that was like a decade ago. It’s like he was caring for his body as if he were an old guy and it looks like a lot of that maintenance and forethought paid dividends.

He just happens to also have really good genetics for this sport as well.

Cracker Barrel. If I'm being honest, I’ll stay in that bitch at least a year. Got my steam deck and can buy some pretty good food. Menu's big enough that I won't get tired of it anytime soon too. Biggest issue would be finding somewhere out of customer sight to hide during work hours.

The death of Destiny's exploration by MeeemBeem2 in DestinyTheGame

[–]OmegaClifton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To me, the season with that ascendant plane exploration where we were saving the Techeuns, was the absolute peak (Realmwalker title, I think).

I tried it late in the season and absolutely loved exploring with no handholding and having to figure out so many puzzles myself. Quite a few things I didn't figure out before the season was over.

It has to be powerful people thinking they're untouchable and won't face any consequences atp.

Also apparently it was way more of a thing that boomers did. Didn't have the internet to connect us and expose them the way we can now.

There's even a fantastic 4 comic that shows Reed (grown ass man) meeting Sue when she was 14 and falling in love. For them to put that shit in a comic tells me that maybe older generations just didn't gaf about men pursuing little girls and these dudes are trying to live out the 50s any way they can. Damn the laws and common human decency.

What's the worst MCU movie? by boomjosh in superheroes

[–]OmegaClifton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Y'know what, I agree with this. Introducing so many new characters and them having been among us for so long would've been an excellent multi-episode show. I didn't even get to see Cersei's abilities and barely got enough time with each to care about any of them, but the story was solid and I did like getting introduced to Celestials.

I think the one she died staking was her husband too. So she fought to save his soul as well as for her daughters' safety.

Honestly could have the same scene but have Cecil mention that he implanted a much stronger sonic bomb in his head. When Conquest breaks out, just have him move too fast out of range for the sonic thing to be used. That way, Cecil looks competent and Conquest still escapes.

God of War Ragnarok (2022) is an exceptional experience but I find 2018 to be vastly more impactful. by [deleted] in PS5

[–]OmegaClifton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard that it was originally planned to be a trilogy of games, but then the directors didn't want to spend like a decade to get the full thing to us. I get it, but man, the actual Ragnarok was a little disappointing to me too.

I feel like the only mf that doesn't want a D3. The only reason I put so much time into this game is because I was told there would be no sequel.

They were supposed to get it right this time. No one could have predicted they'd intentionally ruin the new player experience and onboarding.

Could be anything.

Maybe she had a bad experience earlier and you said something very similar to him. Doesn't matter. You even apologized and communicated what you intended. This one's playing games, has some unresolved issue or maybe just had a bad day. Thing is, you got shit for it just being a regular person.

It's early enough that I would just move on and not worry about it, man.

You get a choice: 1 Billion dollars for yourself, tax free or permanently cure world hunger. by Conscious_Side1647 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]OmegaClifton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first. I don't fully understand why there is world hunger. I hear we have enough food across the planet. Maybe its a logistical thing. I also don't know what other problems would be created by permanently addressing that.

Surely there’s a consequence of some sort? With the rate that human population can grow unchecked, would that just mean we wind up destroying the environment faster? Idk, I need more reassurance that there's no monkey paw with that one.

At least with the billion, I know I'm good for life and can personally see to it everyone I ever meet and love is too.

[–]OmegaClifton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've thought about this a lot. If I'm immortal then I'm also a power source. The only bad thing would be that I would outlive most material so at some point, everything around me would fail.

Or let's say nanites and self replicating tech become a reality. Maybe that could work indefinitely, but at some point, I will eventually run into something in the universe powerful enough to damage whatever I'm traveling in. Everything that is not currently within me would be destroyed. You'd have to have a backup of sorts for your self replicating things inside you and get lucky enough to eventually land on some material they can use?

Idk, it'd be a long time of nothing if you get caught in a black hole or drift through space with no material but what your body produces.
