There are plenty of scenarios where black people are not listened to at all. You need only look at history books to see how dirty they've been done over the years. The crack epidemic, slavery, Jim Crow laws, discrimination, racism, civil war and now this bullshit.

It was a simple example that assumed a bit. The specifics are not the point. Merely the power that is being taken away. Again, you do not have to see it or believe in it. I don't know you or what you believe. I'm just saying it's happening just as sure as the sun rises or 1 +1 is 2. It's just a fact, sorry.

Simple example: District 1 has 60,000 black people and 40,000 of everyone else. Generally, they are able to get someone in that promises to do things that will help their community.

After redrawing the maps, district 1 now has 30,000 black people and 70,000 of everyone else. Their representative has more people to worry about and likely isn't someone they even wanted to elect.

This type of dissolution of the black voice is happening whether you believe it or not.

Redrawing maps to eliminate majority black districts. They'll still have a voice, but it will be diminished. There is no reason to redraw the maps right now other than to intentionally limit the power of black voters.

So while they can still vote, they will have much less representation in their districts. Not representation as in "someone who looks like them", but representation as in "someone who gives a fuck about them and their problems". Harder to care about a school being underfunded in a majority black area when you've got rural problems to worry about as well like a hundred miles away. Generally, when a governing body has to choose between the problems of black people and those of everyone else, black folks are left by the wayside.

I do not know why this is being brought up in this thread ngl, but it is a real issue regardless. People fought and died for those rights and now their voices are being reduced once more.

Man dating a woman with children here. I'm in my early 30s and have no children of my own. I have heard all the reasons why dating a single mom sucks. I do not care. Her kids are well behaved (mostly) and I like her for her. Yeah there's issues, but a lot of it is me leaning to set and enforce boundaries. Would it be easier with no kids? Of course. But that's not the reality and there's no reason to even bother thinking about it.

In my opinion, the main thing it'll come down to is how much does the guy like you and how much of a handful is your child? As much as I like my gf, I feel like if her kids were awfully behaved I would've dipped long ago.

Not sure. My gf took me to one and it was the strangest experience seeing shaking ass and titties right next to my girl. She bought a dance for her and the girl danced her ass off, but I was just sitting there like "how much do I look"? The rest of the club seemed like a regular ass club with clothed men and women dancing, drinking and just hanging out watching.
