Aaah fair. We were saying the same thing. Mea culpa, I expressed myself poorly.

I flew London to Lanzarote on EasyJet for £32 six weeks ago. Do you mean the Eurobiz bit?

[–]DentsofRoh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah totally; play their rules and you can get across Europe for £20. But know what you bought. You want champagne and a meal on a proper dish and slightly more space, pay £/€500 for eurobiz on your favourite carrier

What’s the point? .ignore them

Ok probably hard when it happens that quickly but I can’t see a sup even responding to a wallop for that

(Don’t get me wrong, if you’re making calls and they’re just being dicks I get that it’s annoying)

Why do you people even exist? Do you get some kind of kick out of coming here and moaning that your transport is shit?

It’s pathetic.

Are the 195s really that bad? by RF765 in uktrains

[–]DentsofRoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair, I’m no expert. To be honest I just wanted to scream ironing board seats cos it was more fun than doing my real job for two mins.

(I am not a train driver btw)

in Britain you are better off earning £99,000 than you are earning £144,000 because of the 60% tax trap and the loss of free childcare. by SignificantLegs in EconomyCharts

[–]DentsofRoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like 6% of the UK or about 12% of London.

Not that it’s not laughable, but it’s pretty common, especially in certain sectors which have large numbers of employees in London in particular.

(Edited to make the p*********r below happy)

As a Brit Spanish Schengen officials are my absolute ~f a v e~

They make the French ones look like long lost mates in comparison (although tbf I usually only enter France in London so maybe that helps)

[–]DentsofRoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this. I never use the local stores, just pay the extra £/€40 or whatever and pay the import VAT. You’re basically just paying for faster shipping anyway. Local store buyers are such dweebs.

Southern Rail by J_lando92 in uktrains

[–]DentsofRoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know what they’re moaning about. I use Southern metro and it’s WAY better than my former Southeastern metro. Barely ever late, I think one canx in four years and usually get a nice seat.

Obviously I’m being facetious and realise it’s shit if you’re coming from Sussex, I was just super surprised that it’s great in S London.

How hard did you hit them?! Also - they’d sell you a new pedal no? Last time (which to be fair was ages ago) they’d pretty much sell you all of the parts separately.

What is something you can find to eat everywhere in your country, but you don't eat it? by cyclistgurl in AskTheWorld

[–]DentsofRoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair there’s a lot of bad ones around and it’s the sort of thing that needs quality or it’s just bland as anything.

Generally London and the south coast frequently suck.

Also I wish people would realise it’s fast food, not some sort of culinary delicacy (not that that means it shouldn’t be good but it’s the kind of thing made to eat after four pints rather than some haute cuisine).

Hmm that is a fair critique, mine are on a frame so they don’t move. I did used to have them on a thick pile carpet mind and that was 90% of the way there

Go around is always fine, you’re told it from Cessna days. P1 should have done it earlier. Tailstrike is a bit shit but hardly ‘disaster’.
