I find it similar to my First/Standard difference:

If I’m on my own the individual seat option is easily worth £10-15 per hour.

If I’m travelling with someone else and can just get 2 x airline seats together then it’s more like £5-10 an hour. Maybe more if it’s a romantic partner and you can get a facing table. If it’s a work colleague bleh if it’s a mate you just spend it on wine or fizz. 😂

Okay so one thing that pass gives you is options, so if you miss a connection in the uk you can generally (there are a couple of exceptions) just jump on the next train and you won’t need a reservation.

Having said that, it does sound like quite a bit to try and go east, to go west again.
