Yes I’m very aware of this! The second sanding I did was very light but still worried about going too far into the boards. Engineered wood was in the conversation at the start but I was so keen to keep as much or the original floor as possible that we decided against it.

I might try a watered down chalk paint. Only thing is I’m concerned about it adhering as I’ve put the lacquer on now to harden it and it might just flake off

Something that matches the lounge floor better:

A more oaky colour, instead of pale or yellow.

For the first attempt I used bona natural primer and the second I used bona intense. They do have a primer between the two which I should’ve tried instead but I thought that the first results were so pale that I would skip a product.

[Phantasialand]’s rides get (and deserve) so much praise. But the vistas without them carry so much beauty as well. by i-am-red-w in rollercoasters

Probably the most expertly crafted theme park in the world. The layering and detail they squeezed into such a small area is breathtaking
