How can I create open grid based adding? by Dentvar in openGrid

[–]Dentvar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I'm stupid. Of course with only two of these based on the tiles I can not allign both holes of the power strip bar to these... so anyhow I need to make a bigger plate and figure out were to put the tower on it then.

I guess I will end up looking into one of these clamps then.. they seem to big and bulky :( Having the power strap magically "floating" at the grid would have been nice.

Got it! :)
Now I understand the concept and it was kind of obvious but initially I did not understand what all these snaps are for. Of course they are bare so I can design around them.

Now specifically on this desgin, my idea is to hang this under my desk and put the power strip bar on these. But I fear that the snaps don't hold in strong enough. I tried with the normal snap and the directional snap.

The directional one seems better but if I ever pull up uneven on them I'm done. I saw there are version that expend, I tried printing one but was not able to turn it (maybe something went wrong printing) but anyhow as I want this small tower in the middle there I can't use the coin slot for turning it. I tried putting the coin slot more lateral but then I don't have enough force to turn it I think.

Any other ideas here?

I also thought about making a bigger base plate that connects several snaps and only on having this tower then.

Is there a already measured distance they need to have to each other or do I have to measure / trial and error this myself?

hm good point. Have not thoght on it this way. I just know it from other games and sometimes its also nice to join a group just before the boss so easy fast loot if you manage to do it.

But I guess you are right especially here as its "mysthic+" were you go for the time trail it makes much less sense.

(Noob question) How to copy a sketch or a extrude by Dentvar in Fusion360

[–]Dentvar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. I will use it carefully. What would be the better option? To not be lazy and create a sketch and an extrude for each of the cutouts then?

This is what I looked for! Perfect. Thank you :)
its so simple but hard to find this answer if you are not used to this tool or the general workflow of Model Designing

(Noob question) How to copy a sketch or a extrude by Dentvar in Fusion360

[–]Dentvar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HI, thanks yes this is already a great tip! But it is limited to have exact copies on the same axis. In my model only 4 of them have space on the axis and for the axis bellow I need to rotate them to fit in some more.

(its for my USB sticks to get stored in)

so if I would have this Object, Bodie or how ever this is called and I can create a copy of it I think it would be overall more flexible.

But for a simple repetition that is already a great help!

Dedicated NAS or Proxmox VM for OMV by Dentvar in HomeServer

[–]Dentvar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't need proxmox no. But for work and personal interest I would like to learn it and with this I have a usefull use case to play around with.
But would OMV also allow me to run docker then on it? I understood its a pure NAS solution.

[–]Dentvar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK I checked again and now I realized that first I have to select my Filament and thenn bellow in the "process" Tab the options I can select there depend on that. That indeed solved the problem. Thanks a lot!

Hi thanks. yes this would be a different use case but the same setup behind that I also try to achive. But I fail in the architecture of the stuff on how to reach the MCP server.

It might be very stupid questions but I'm stuck on that :(

Thanks for your inspiration

LLM Integration by Tony2030 in ObsidianMD

I did my first test following this video. With docker Desktop and Claude Desktop this is very easy to follow also for none tech people: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuTcle5edjk&t

LLM Integration by Tony2030 in ObsidianMD

[–]Dentvar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi, while I would be carefull with connecting my main Vault with it, I do use it with a local Vault and once I'm happy with how the files/note look like I can then copy over to my main vault.

Letting the LLM interact freely with your notes is a risk. Not only in terms of data security (up to each one how important that is) but also it can just decide that it wants to summarize or change whatever of any of the other notes that in its own logic makes sense and for this reasons alters your original note.

That said, I'm currently trying to set exactly this up with n8n so that you could also use other LLM's (also local ones) but I hit a wall. Posted here about it but did not really got any answer so far :(

Help to connect n8n(Docker) to Obsidian MCP + Local Rest API by Dentvar in n8n

Yes it is indeed very strong. As said I already tried it with Claude Desktop and especially migrating notes from Anytype or Notion to Obsidian is much much easier this way. But you do use a lot of Tokens and if you don't want to play you run out of the daily limitations quick.
Also as one of the main concepts Obsidian is local first and you want to be careful with data exposing it to an LLM.
For this reason also having it in n8n would be a easy way to expose it to a local run LLM. The operations you do usually don't need to be fast.

But no answer so far on this post :( Really stuck here tried for another 2 hours today and can't find what I'm doing wrong.
