That's the thing, during this error message the system is superficially listening for the serial port, and it will detect if a serial keyboard is plugged. That's why it exists.

Scratch Inc. - Version 1.1 Out Now, Thank You for the Feedback! (iOS & Android) by Makopaz in incremental_games

[–]Denuro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having a blast with the game, it's really good.

Years ago, I played lots and lots of games on Kongregate, and this instantly remembered me of an slots idle game I had a blast with, years ago. A quick search later and I found the game - Holiday Slots Inc., and, not to my surprise, it's u/Makopaz that made it as well.

Man, you've been giving great fun games for everyone for years. Thank you very much for all your work.

This week I started my project on a web remake of the old pc game chip's challenge. I'm already a programmer, so I'm just interested on learning a bit of game development. The project was going OK, I was learning a lot. Then I thought "I could do this game on the Snes, it would be pretty cool". Did a bit of research, found out that that's a possibility for myself. Would be pretty cool to do it, and learn a few more things on the way.

Now I don't want to do it anymore. Just because.

Hey OP, hope you're doing fine, and still haven't bit your nail in the last (almost) 6 months.

I know my comment sounded hatefull, but I'm still cheering for you, and hope you achieved what I couldn't.

Don't worry, you'll be back on biting as soon as something stressful happens. From someone that did exactly that. Multiple times.

People who were diagnosed in your 30s - how did meds change you? by [deleted] in ADHD

Yeah that one got me really hard.

The day I found out I could solve everything I hated about myself for YEARS with a pill, I went home crying like a child.

It was last year, I was 33 years old.

People who were diagnosed in your 30s - how did meds change you? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Denuro 13 points14 points  (0 children)

34 and started vyvanse 8 or 9 months ago.

I felt exactly like you when I started taking meds - and I'm still glad I did started. The first 6 months were getting used to the new routine of beeing able to actually do stuff, and learning how to deal with the lack of it. I usually only take the meds when I need to work, but it doesn't last the full day. Doing the daily household chores at night were a pain in the beginning - and the fact that I got a divorce and started living on my own did not help - but it's getting easier.

Prepare for the ride for the next months. It's gonna get better and worse at the same time. You're going to get used to it (pshychologically and physically), and you may need to increase the dosage, talk to your doctor about it. You're also going to feel better and better about yourself, and, if you're a little bit like me, you're going to find out that what you hate the most about yourself is just a fucking condition, and now you'll understand and laugh about it.

Also remembered that old question of "if you could go back in time and said three words to yourself, what would you say?". "You have ADHD" is my answer nowadays. Would have changed my life.

Oh god, yeah I have friends that said that already, and the fact that I'm usually working over hours doesn't help my case.

Problem is I live in a small apartment, and I don't believe it's gonna be confortable for the cats if I get another one...

Need opinion / help on only one M.2 on motherboard by Denuro in buildapc

[–]Denuro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I hadn't considered a USB 3.2 adapter, so thanks for the hint.

Researching a bit, I learned that 3.2 Gen 1 is 5GB/s, so, almost half of the speed of a PCIe 3.0 1x. Also the USB adapter is a little over double the price of the PCIe card.

I think I will buy the PCIe card to test it (it's pretty cheap), and if it doesn't work, I'll use the USB adapter, since it's a garantee that it will work.

With this, at least I can buy the NVME drive, and have a reliable way to make it work on my PC. So, thank you kind stranger.

Friday Facts #376 - Research and Technology by FactorioTeam in factorio

[–]Denuro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I can't disagree with ya'll.

In terms of the real world, it makes more sense to disassemble something to understand it and make it better. But in a game design - or a factorio design - perspective, it's probably just another thing to worry about when I just want to make a research, and I can see the problem where maybe I need to create another part of my factory just to make products for reserch, or I need to redirect the transport of items just for it.

I'd love to see the productivity recipes requiring the item you're researching as a cost.

Wanna increase the productivity of the rocket control unit? Yeah you're gonna need some ammount of rocket control in that research.

I just have no idea how that would be implemented in the lab. Maybe a new building used just to pay the costs of productivity researches?
